"Megadeth" is derived from "megadeath", which is the measurement of a nuclear weapon's killing capabilities. One megadeath = one million people. I thought that was kinda cool. That's just my opinion, though; doesn't count for much.

About Megadeth, I think their name isn't that bad. Its quite a normal one for a thrash/heavy band. Bullet Valentine, Bloody Valentine, shitty names. No offense to the members who like them.

With joy division tbf they werent trying to live up to those connotations and the name is pretty god damn good for their music, i mean its also a pretty good name for a facist death squad...suiting is the right word. Ummmm Arctic monkeys does have no relevance but i like them as a band, i think you have to go to one of their gigs where everyones jumping to really appreciate it, like metal i wouldnt listen to it unless it was infront of me and theres a real buzz.
