Slayer's Icon tut!

Firt of all get a base image for your icon, most base images wont work with this tut but you can alway tweak around with opacity and what not tomake it look pretty close.

this (http://img416.imageshack.us/img416/7601/villians7015mr.jpg) is the cap I used from screencap-paradise.

1.Crop it to a 100x100 canvas

2. Use the"sharpen" filter Once- if the image still looks bad use it twice

3.duplicate the layer and set it to SCREEN 100%

4.duplicate the SCREEN layer ONCE more

5.Create New Layer - Fill it with #07122D set to Exclusion 100%

6.Duplicate Exclusion layer

7.Merge layers, duplicate and set to soflight 100%

8. press Ctrl+L and set these options "RGB 40 / 1,00 / 255"

9. Merge the layers, Duplicate, use "Hue saturation" to make it greyscale and set it to softlight, play around with the opacity and choose the one you like the most.
