hi all, i am not very active at posting in this forum so i wont request to join the FC but ichiruki is number one, i just wanted too drop by and give my thoughts here. will put them into spoiler tags since it will contain stuff in the manga.

ok so here is my thoughts on ichiruki reunion in this arc,
assuming rukia, byakuya, yamada are fully healed by now they will go to were kenpachi went (since he is still fighting it will be easier to find him). if you ask why them and not renji, ishida, mayuri, nemu, well thats because i think that having their organs crushed would need someone extremely skilled in healing so unohana will go there and heal them up.

ok now the time comes when rukia and the others comes to the same place kenpachi is at, kenpachi and noitora fight as usual orihime is healing nell (note if you remember back in ss arc orihime needed a lot of time to heal jidanbou, ok his arm were cut off but i hope she needs a lot of time to heal nell, for example the crack in the skull noitora made). now just let your imagination go wild about how rukia will react when she sees ichigo on the ground in the shape he is in :)

i just came to think about it and felt that i just wanted to post it

Ok, to open zipped files, you need a program. I use 7-zip. Download it here: http://www.7-zip.org/

Then after you've installed it, go to where your zipped file is, right click. A menu pops up, then go to 7-zip, then click on extract files. Then press ok. That should work.

I'm not sure if this program works with macs...

Well I would say that they would have tons of kids, but knowing some things about japan, I would say about two to three kids, and at least one boy, and I imagine that the kids names would be sweet with very meaningful names, just like Ichigo's name.

I just imagined them running towards each other on a flower meadow in the most uncharacteristic way. Ugh. Makes me shiver at the thought of it.

Jokes aside, I could imagine Inoue being ignored by Ichigo again (if they manage to take her back with them), and he focuses entirely on Rukia. Kinda' like he did with Nel, only there's a romantic tension there as well xD

:oh: So, you were the one that wrote that essay?! :amazed: Wow, I congragulate you on that super-long essay! This essay did answer a couple of my question about what kind of significance did Rukia or Orihime have in this series.

Yeah, I've actually heard that from some people online. It's understandable why IchixHime fans would hate Rukia.

As you said, in Japan, IchixRuki is most popular couple. I was surprised when I found that out through a doujinshi website.

i think sometime ago, a rukia fan showed us such stats taken from jap and it clearly shows ichiruki being the top 3 if i m not wrong. and ichihime was ranked very low and i really mean very low (can't remember which rank already) thus this kept me thinking whether is this the reason y rukia would never be killed off by KT?

Thank you very much for supplying that essay! It really did explain a lot. I also feel really stupid now, because I should have realized all of that (I am Chinese), but none of that really occurred to me. Guess because I am usually immersed in Western culture and study English lit more.

I really liked her points on how unrequited love is represented and thought of in the Japanese culture. It all makes sense now, while I think back on the other manga that I have read and am reading. Especially since Bleach is a rather philosophical (seriously, especially in comparison to manga storylines and dialogue in general) coming-of-age story, it would be more important for the characters to grow and mature rather than find "true love" right away.

I will have to save that essay and read it every now and again when feelings of IchiRuki doubt seep in. Like when I saw the new ending credits on the anime for the first time and noticed how little face time Rukia got... and how big Orihime's face was at the end!:sad:

Ah, I don't think you need to worry. We all know Kubo is a great writer, and if Ichigo ended up with Inoue it would be uncharacteristic for Kubo (at least from what I understand of his style).

actually, i always thought ichiruki was more popular than ichihime (i'm chinese, and i live in hong kong). i never realised ichihime was more popular in the US. i guess i'm rather ill-imformed. i mean all the bleach merchandise (calendars, pictures on boxes containing figurines, keychains....) always have ichigo and rukia together in the centre, and orhime would be somewhere at the edge, where you wouldn't noticed. even my friends who watch bleach (they're all girls, i only know 1 guy who watches bleach, shows it really is a shoujo anime) don't like ichihime or orihime herself.

and the point about unrequited love was true. the chinese classic stories and movies are often about unrequited love (can't think of any names). but nowadays, the soap operas i get on tv are really western, so there's more kissing and stuff.

Oh, and Sinta said something interesting from my comment on his essay on the potential love triangle in Bleach:

"You see here's the thing, I really don't see that much development between Ichigo and Inoue. The encouragement that Ichigo/inoue shippers are so excited about is overshadowed by Ichigo's own admission. He didn't really come to HM to save Inoue (it wasn't his sole purpose), he came to fight. The way I see it, the Ichigo/Inoue development has really been separate. They both found out something about themselves as individuals. Inoue's faith in Ichigo isn't as unshaken as she thought. And Ichigo's sole goal isn't just to protect. Individual plot development is what has been happening. Not pairing development.

One thing you need to ask yourself is what will this relationship do for the future of the plot? The potential Ichigo/Inoue pairing or the Rukia/Ichigo pairing. I think if you can get a handle on that question that would help your understanding of which pairing is more likely. Kubo isn't going to spend a bunch of time on a pairing that isn't going to effect the plot. Especially if that pairing needs a lot of work. It will be interesting to see what happens after the HM arc when Ichigo isn't trying to save a girl as there won't be a basis for comparision Ichigo/inoue and Rukia/Ichigo will have to stand on its own interactions. Ah, an interesting thing to add is that Sinta didn't start out shipping IchiRuki. He started out with IchiOri because he usually found main character pairings poorly done. However, from his analysis from Bleach, he saw how truly beautiful IchiRuki was and how IchiOri looked quite pale when compared. Yay! ^_^

As for age and locations: Ichigo's parents. Isshin was a captain, while Masaki was a human. Obviously, he was hundreds of years older and lived in Soul Society, but that didn't stop him from marrying her and having children, so Ichigo being with Rukia isn't impossible. Besides, she is meant to look like a fifteen year old despite her being hundred and something.

Then Ichigo gets up and powers up again saying, "Shut up, I won't give up that easily" Starts fighting his enemy.

So I just found out this little information on BA. According to a recent interview with Kubo (shown in ch.307), Rukia's character design was finished first. Then Kubo actually changed Ichigo's character design to match with Rukia!!! :o For example, Ichigo originally had black hair, but since Rukia already has black hair, Kubo changed it to orange for Ichigo.

Well, there goes ichiori's theory of "OMG same hair color = canon couple". It was stupid to begin with.

So I just found out this little information on BA. According to a recent interview with Kubo (shown in ch.307), Rukia's character design was finished first. Then Kubo actually changed Ichigo's character design to match with Rukia!!! :o For example, Ichigo originally had black hair, but since Rukia already has black hair, Kubo changed it to orange for Ichigo.

And yes, the fighting is indeed getting quite mundane. Maybe KT will make a special omake starring Ichigo and Rukia for the manga that is released on the week of V-day? I doubt it, because I know that Japan celebrates Tanabata according to the lunar cycle. But a girl can wish...

I like this story very much and read it from time to time when I am feeling sullen. It is a short piece titled,"The Fabulous Destiny of Kurosaki Ichigo." Oh, and there is a picture that I have been looking for of Ichigo, Rukia, Inoue, Renji, and I think someone else... all talking on different phones. Does anyone know what I am talking about? It doesn't matter if the songs don't have lyrics! I don't think the point is to write a songfic, exactly. If the song puts you in 'a mood,' base the drabble on that, or whatever. Or uh, here's an example!

Ichigo slipped his hand in hers, casually. He said to himself he would wasn’t doing this out of affection. It was merely to make sure she would be squashed; the drunks behind him who were slam dancing to such a slow song.

Days off from hunting Hollows were the best thing in the world. Too bad he had to bribe Urahara with two weeks’ allowance to agree to it.

I had them holding prsents from each other smiling, in a sign they like each other but facing away showing how they don't express it out right. Also I thought the chain of fate linking at to each other's heart was a nice sign of their love.

haha... well i didn't really thinked this was possible when it started! i didn't even liked rukia at first seriously. i guess the saving rukia arc was the turning point -> seeing how ichigo trying to kill that released fire bird with rukia asking him to run without her is so touching.

And as the series goes on, we are given bits and pieces of them being together thus making me believed they are meant to be.

But the best moments are when Ichigo flew down from the sky at the bridge in ep 41 and Rukia was just staring up at him and when Rukia was able to snap Ichigo out of his depression. :love:
