Making your own glitter names is easy and the possibilities are endless!

To start, open up 3 internet windows. Copy and paste each of the following URL's into the address bar of your open internet windows:

The first is the Image Magik Studio: http://studio.imagemagick.org/MagickStudio/scripts/MagickStudio.cgi

The second is the Glitter gallery: http://www.geocities.com/elsa2421/glitters_galore.html

And the third is the text banner maker: http://linuxenvy.com/bprentice/Banners/Banners.html

FIRST:
We will be working with the 3rd window: The text banner maker.
Enter your name or any other text.
Pick a font. (There is a link near the bottom to preview fonts.)
Pick your font size.
Set the border to 0.
Make your text color WHITE.
Make the background color TRANSPARENT.
Set your User type to REGULAR.

Hit the SUBMIT button.

On the new page, right click on your banner and select 'properties' from the pop-up box.
Highlight the URL on the next box. Right click on the highlighted URL and click 'copy'.

SECOND:
Bring up your 1st window, the Image Magik Studio.

Paste that url address code into the URL textbox (Ctrl + V). Do NOT use the filename textbox.

Press view.

At the next page, near the top, click on 'Composite'.

THIRD:

Open up your second window: The glitter gallery.

Right click on the glitter image and select 'properties'.

As before, highlight and copy the URL.

FOURTH:

Return to your SECOND window: Image Magik.

Paste the glitter URL code in the URL textbox, NOT the filename.

Below that there is a section called 'Optional Composite Attributes'. Where there is a drop-down menu under 'compose', select IN. Under 'Miscellaneous options' put a checkmark in the box to indicate that you want to 'tile across and down the image canvas'.

Now click the 'composite' button.

FIFTH:

On the next page will be a preview of your image. We will make it glitter in a minute.

At the top of the page, click 'output'.

Scroll down to where it sayd 'Loop'. Change this value to 0.

Make sure to chose the 'gif' format, otherwise your image will not sparkle.

Hit the 'output' button.

SIXTH:

Right click on your image and chose 'Save Picture as'. Again, make sure the image is saving in a 'gif' format.

Now your image is done!

Wow, those bring back memories, I can't believe they are still around. They are pretty tacky and hideous looking. I think they look better when you make them yourself on Photoshop. I use to make them in 2004:

Well, I think it makes them a little less tacky and hideous. :)
