You know, I actually know what'd be a great Gundam to have.
Take Strike Freedom as a base.
Augment its melee capabilities to the level of IJ's.
Increase the firepower of its DRAGOON System (2 guns per individual unit, instead of just 1).
Redesign its wings so that the Voiture Lumiere thrusters can be used even with the DRAGOON units docked.
(And I don't even much like CE, but I'm rewriting GSD and that's the version of SF I'm considering using.
(Except that by this point Kira's already gone the way of Amuro in the MSG novels, so he ain't its pilot.)

Also, recolor it. In either Titans colors(a la Gundam MkII), TROMBE colors, or Red Comet Colors.

Oh, and NEW AVIE!!! 'cuz that Mask is just cool.

Remember, Gundams are by definition Real Robots...except for the ones in G, which are just really, REALLY, REALLY uber-weak supers. Except Devil Gundam, which is just a weak-ish Super Robot.

If I found a gundam, I would have one of my super genius friends copy the design and inner workings of it and travel around the world searching for young, talented warriors who have seen what war is like and are looking to bring peace to the world. Their gundams would be specially built to fit their fighting styles, like in the actual series. I would then train with them and learn how to operate the gundams for 6 months or until we get the hang of it, and In armed combat/how to work a gun/etc. Basically all the basics. Then we would set up battle strategies and go to war against the worlds superpowers. After defeating them we would each take control over and rule a different section of the planet and unite it under one flag and one free, democratic super-government to insure that there would be no more war because everyone would be getting the same amount of cash flow into/ treatment/etc, so there is no reason to fight. Also I would ban nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction that have been created at whatever point in time/universe im currently in. I would also create a police force with inferior model mobile suits to our own to keep the peace and thwart uprisings.

If I could have a gundam, I'd wish for 00 Raiser/Qan[T]. First of all I'd have an unstoppable warmachine at my disposal, and that can always come in handy.
Second, I'd hook the GN-drives onto my house and car and stuff. Unlimited energy is a nice thing to have.
And final, I'd play war games with whatever army I want. I'm already looking forward too hearing that familiar cry: "IT'S A GUNDAM!!!!!!" The poor bastards won't know what hit 'em

Then again, Cherudim fits me more, beinging a sniper-type and all. (plus I'd get Haro with it, the most badass character of all of gundam)

You got a point there, but I liked the idea of sniping the target (haha) while Haro used the bits to protect me. Then again, there's also a chance that those things on Zabanya's back are soe sort of bit-system too. Seems to me they are a combination of normal bits and rifle bits. That would make sense too: Setsuna gets the "blade" aspect of fangs, teken to the extreme, and Lockon get's the "gun" asect, taken to the extreme. Combine those two in combat, and you might just shit yourself before you die. might

If I could have a Gundam, I'd get the Ultimate Gundam a.k.a Devil Gundam.

I'd take over the world and there will not be anything anybody could do to stop me.

Whatever super-weapon gets thrown against it, the DG will repair itself, evolve and be even better than before.

Even better, it can create whole armies of Gundams. Does not matter how good a pilot is, after fighting millions of grunt fodder for days, he will be worn down eventually and fall and be resurrected as a new piece of the Devil Gundam army.
