A Deathmatch at the ruins near Torrington Base (from 0083 Ep 1). All participants start off outside of eachother's view. Who comes out on top?

Terrain: Desert, Rocks, a huge piece of Debris in the middle. Plenty of sand and plenty of darkness/cover within the Debris.

Note: If you don't know a pilot, watch the footage. Some people have barely to no useful footage, sorry for that. Hope you all watched enough ZZ Gundam to know Rommel :P

Participants:

Ramba "Blue Nova" Ral
Unit: Gouf
Origin: Mobile Suit Gundam, Known for hi catchphrase "This is no Zaku! no Zaku!". He was an exceptional Ace and master of guerilla tactics and thus given one of the first Gouf B-series models in order to pursue and rid off the Gundam to avenge Garma Zabi's death, their battle took place in the desert. It is implied that Ramba's experience was suffiscient for him to be a better pilot than Amuro at the time of their fight as he says that Amuro won only because of his unit.

Andrew "Desert Tiger" Waltfeld
Unit: LaGOWE Commander Type
Origin: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, Waltfeld faced off with Kira on desert terrain terrain and actually manages to break the Strike's Phase Shift, but lost because Kira went into SEED mode (universal explanation for Kira winning) during the final blow.
Click for footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrBSANY8ckY)

"Desert" Rommel
Unit: Dowadge Reinforcement Type
Origin: Gundam ZZ, Rommel is a leader of Zeon remnant secretely operating in the desert, he is also fond of guerilla tactics, placing ambushes by burying MS under the sand.
No footage (sry) (I can't seem to find any footage with Desert Rommel)

Rashid Kurama
Unit: Maganac Rashid Kurama Custom
Origin: Gundam W, Rasid is a leading figure in the Maganac corps and is devoted to Quatre, he proves to be a competent fighter and leader alike.
Click for footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-G8SjkSMsw) (I can't seem to find any other clips with Maganacs, although there should be some out there)

Garret Schmitzer
Unit: Gouf Custom
Origin: Zeonic Front, Garret is a veteran wounded by the pilot of Gundam Mudrock (the "boss enemy" in Zeonic Front). He leads the Midnight Fenrir Corps, an Earth attack force of Zeon.
No footage (sry) (Any Footage from him is from the Game Zeonic Front where he is player controlled)

Demiziere Sonnen
Unit: Hildolfr
Origin: MS IgLOO, Demiziere was once a drill, but got demoted after he started taking drugs to bear with the pressure of sending young people to their deaths by making soldiers out of them. He is assigned to the Hildolfr and manages to take out a complete troop of Federation Hijackers at the cost of his life protecting the Komusai dropship.

Visch "Desert Lightning" Donahue
Unit: Gelgoog Ground Type
Origin: Gundam Sidestory - Rise from the Ashes, Donahue, a rough and experience veteran with an eyepatch serves as rival character for Master Pierce Layer.

Waltfeld, together with Sonnen has a unit which is one of the worst when it comes to making use of the Debris. As Norris Packard has demonstrated before, Goufs get along well inside crumbly structures and can use their Heat Rods as ropes, giving Ral and Schmitzer the advantage inside the debris that they lack out in the desert in terms of mobility, as the goufs are probably the slowest of the lot. In contrast to them, Waltfeld's LaGOWE and Sonnen's Hilfolfr are extremely mobile in the open, but the LaGOWE's wingspan and incapability of boosting straight upwards properly will ultimately limit its capability of fitting through holes inside the Debris while the Hildolfr can neither fly nor jump in any way at all, but in exchange is highly resistant to damage and can shroud itself with smoke dischargers. Rashid, Visch and Rommel are evenly good in the open desert and inside the debris, Rashid is better armored among those 3 if you trust the looks of a Maganac and Visch pretty fast for a biped MS as his Gelgoog was tuned for high speed ground combat while Rommel has the possibility of burying himself under the desert sands for surprise attacks.

Here is a clip of a simulator in a japanese video game hall where a player fights himself through the Torrington debris. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0woPyAB53zQ)

Hildolfr (http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/index.htm)

Due to less info on the transformed Hildolfr this footage (click) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbUxrtQnB3E) should be viewed. The Hildolfr is basically a gigantic tank that is much faster than it looks (it skids across the ground so fast that mobile suits need their thrusters to keep up), being a test unit, Hildolfr's targetting adjustments aren't properly done so that it can only hit things standing still accurately. Sonnen however, managed to score multiple hits on moving targets by his experience and tactics and destroyed a complete company of Hijacked Zakus:

Demiziere Sonnen (Hildolfr) vs Frederico Czariano's squad (Zaku II F and Type-61 Battletanks)

-The first Zaku II F (Ground Attack type) was sniped while standing around unsuspectingly
-Startled by the destroyed Zaku, the squad is alerted, but Sonnen instantly fires a 2nd shot and disables another Zaku before they can react
-All Zakus take cover, Czariano notices the 2nd Zaku which was moving didn't get hit in the centre and assumes the targetting mechanisms aren't adjusted properly (which is true). Czariano orders the Type 61 Tanks to move out on the flanks while some of the Zakus launch missiles at the approximate position of the enemy while he and a few other Zakus charge forward to engage the enemy
-Due to his targets now moving, Sonnen Loads a heat shell and fires it towards a Zaku. The Heat shell explodes and causes everything around the Zaku to burn. The Zaku pilot is shocked and halts, yelling that "the temparature outside has become 1200 degrees!" (the pilots hijacked the Zakus to they have no proper estimation of how heat-resistent their units are), Czariano tells the pilot to keep moving as he hasn't been hit directly, but the advice came too late as Sonnen fires another shot and destroys the Zaku.
-Czariano orders everyone to take off into the skies in order to overview the battlefield and sees the Hildolfr; a huge tank. Upon discovery, Sonnen starts moving and Czariano is surprised by the immense unsuspected mobility of the tank; it just dodges his machingun fire and skids away.
-Czariano orders his men to aim at the Hildolfr's tracks to immobilize it, the Zaku team manages to destroy one of Sonnen's tracks and move in for the kill, it seems hopeless for Sonnen...
-Hildolfr suddenly launches smoke dischargers, the view of the pilots is now obstructed by the smokescreen. Sonnen transforms Hildolfr so the tracks are discarded, the cannon can turn and the unit reveals a Mobile Suit torso with arms. Sonnen turns the cannon towards the position of a Zaku and fires a blind shot, destroying the Zaku at point blanc range.
-The next Zaku charges into the smokescreen to engage Hildolfr, but his machinegun fire only hits the shields on Hildolfr's shoulder. Sonnen draws a machinegun with the now active arms and returns fire, gunning the Zaku down before it can make out a weak spot.
-Sonnen is still pretty much pinned down, he uses the machineguns to fend off Typ-61 tanks that are now approaching as the smokescreen fades. The next Zaku is already charging up
-Sonnen wants to move away, but he's stuck on the arm of a destroyed Zaku, the one moving in is getting closer and closer. Sonnen turns Hildolfr's cannon and fires to the side without stabilizing, the recoil launches the Hildolfr up to one side so that he's not tangled with the Zaku arm anymore. Sonnen steps on the gas and runs the Zaku over with his massive unit.
-Czariano's Commander type Ground Attack Zaku reaches the Hildolfr and smacks it with his machinegun Czariano yells that Sonnen was just lucky. Sonnen tries to knock Czariano away with Hildolfr's stabilizer arm, the ammo magazine of Czariano's machinegun is knocked off.
-Czariano says he has one bullet in the barrel and thats all he needs, he thrusts the gun to where he assumes the cockpit (he guessed right) and pulls the trigger. Hildolfr is silent.
-Czariano's damaged Zaku, the last survivor of the whole division limps towards the Komusai where the Zeon engineers Oliver May and Monique Cadillac are. Sonnen however, mortally wounded but still alive for the moment, fires a last shot from Hildolfr's cannon and blasts Czariano to pieces, then fades away.
