We all know Naruto's the only one who can combine an element into the Rasengan, so that's not happening. Rasengan is the ultimate from of Shape Manipulation, remember? Why else do you think Minato called it an almost impossible feat? Jiraiya and Kakashi both tried and failed, same with Minato. But, hey, wait, we also know that everything goes right through Madara, right? So even if Kakashi could do a "Raisengan," it wouldn't work on Madara.

By cunning I meant, the intuition and yes like you said smell or other senses to predict and avoid Madara's presence and attack since he can be seen-and-passed thru. I don't think it's so much about them having interrogation skills so much as Madara not really giving a flying rat arse anymore if anybody finds out about something. It just so happens that that is the undoing of 90% of all main villains. Y'know. Telling the good guys their plan.

Yeah, I hope so too. The reason being, it gives us info on the origin of the Sharingan, since I think, from that, that the Sharingan was first seen the elder son of the Rikudou Sennin. That would mean that if the Byakugan is related to the Sharingan and came from descendants of the Rikudou Sennin's elder son, then it means that the Hyuuga were actually descendants of the Uchiha. I don't know how much truth that has in it though, seeing as the Byakugan lets you see deeper into the chakra network and the Sharingan doesn't.

The Byakugan is only better for the chakra network, the Sharingan is better for hypnotizing, copying, reading movements, etc.

My policy is to not skip any chapters, and I think others should do the same. So yeah, you should definitely read the Kakashi Gaiden in the manga.

One thing to note, by the way, is that when Rin says Yondaime's Shunshin no Jutsu is amazing, while she's one hundred percent correct on that, what the Yondaime really does is use his Hiraishin no Jutsu to transport himself (Hiraishin no Jutsu is the Flying Thunder God Technique, and the move that gave him his nickname: "Konoha's Yellow Flash;" Shunshin no Jutsu is a speed technique, the Body Flicker).

And, yeah, I'll be looking forward to your banner.

You guys sure have a wide variety topics about Kakashi. Personally, I think Kakashi is a combination of a few characters. He is never always serious but also never always relaxed. The fact that he can switch his own mood at an instant means that his brain gears are turning but not turning at the same time.

He is a wobbling character that does not know how to topple, the fact that he can still think and speak calmly after Tsukuyomi is proof of that. I do not think there are too many characters out there that resemble him, at least not off the top of my head.

666Satan:He could have an O-part that let's him shoot lightning bullets and he could have a third eye like Kirin.
MAR:He could be a second Nanashi. Easily. In fact, they're downright 95% similar.

if they fuck up the itachi and sasuke fight animation i am gonna be super pissed. the last ep that looked like animation at its peak was the Kakuza and Hidan fights. Kakashi against kakuza looked spot on the animation was great and then the rasenshuruken was done quite well imo. and Shikimaru vs. Hidan looked pretty great to with all the shadow manipulation

Those fights were well animated, credit given. I really don't mind the Hawk group animation being shit and all, but the major and epic fights must be done properly. QFT example would be Kakashi and Kakuzu. It was well worth waiting... the manga wasn't that clear on details, but the animation filled the holes there with awesome dedication.

I like Kakashi mainly because he's got depth. It's hidden under a facade of disinterest, but you can tell it's there. He's made mistakes in his life and paid for them. He's flawed. Also, we really don't know all that much about him. We know he was a child prodigy, we know that his father's suicide had a heavy impact on him, we know how he got the Sharingan, we know that he values his teammates over the success of a mission, but the list of what he keeps hidden is endless. We don't know his hopes and dreams, or his favorite color, or why he wears his mask. We don't know if he's ever been in love, or how he got his Mangekyo, or why he quit ANBU. He gives the illusion of familiarity, but if you asked Naruto or Sakura any of these questions, they wouldn't be able to answer. He's loner who's very good at blending into a crowd without becoming part of it, and I admire that.

As for a new topic - any ideas about how he unlocked the Mangekyo?

Seems that MS is activated due to heavy emotional turmoil or change. Regardless of cause by the owner or someone else. The sheer magnitude of emotion might trigger to have them.
IE: Obito couldn't even see with bare eyes during battle (Nancy-boy had goggles to protect them) and when trying to protect Kakashi, his Sharingan is awakened.

Maybe something similar to that happened. We can rule out the dad's death being the cause, because in K-Gaiden Yondaime explained to Obito that his behavior is the result of his loss. And we all know that he obtained the gift later on.

And, yeah, I too agree with you almost completely, with the same except that NVIT made: we know that the Mangekyou Sharingan is awakened through extreme grief and emotion. Itachi had witness the death of his brother, Kakashi saw his friends die, especially Obito, and Sasuke witnessed the death of his older brother.

@Goroth (final paragraph): Exactly. Heck, he didn't even have the Sharingan at that time so he couldn't have gotten the Mangekyou Sharingan even if he did get sad and (emotionally) hurt enough.

he invested in him cause he could only teach him that technique and at that time of course he would ignore other students to suppress sasuke's seal, he was trying to save him - whats more important, training all three students and not make some progress (at that time and that situation) with neither or try and focus on one who desperately needs to become stronger while struggling with himself.. :\

He was apologizing to Obito for not being able to save Rin before he "died" against Pain. That make me convinced that the main reason he got his MS was because of the deaths of his best friends, including, but not limited to, Obito and Rin.

But, yeah, I do agree that he only invested in Sasuke more that time because 1) Sasuke was the only one of those three (and still is even now) who could learn the Chidori since he has an affinity for Lightning. We didn't even know yet at time what Naruto's and Sakura's affinities are to begin with, and we know now that Naruto's is Wind and (maybe, hopefully) Water, meaning he can't learn the Chidori; 2) Sasuke needed more help, what with wanting to beat Itachi and also having had a Cursed Seal that he needed help with.

Agreed completely. Though I'm pissed off at Naruto himself for being too obsessed over Sasuke. Even though Naruto really loves Sakura, it makes him look gay and people think he's gay for Sasuke. All it is though is that he thinks of and looks up to him as though they're brothers.

The manga. The manga is on a two week hiatus. Kishimoto is the mangaka for Naruto.

And, dude, don't care about the color. The manga is better than the anime in a lot of other things, trust me.
