I know Naruto is very depressing at this point of time so let's lighten the atmosphere by reminiscing good times by thinking of your favorite character from the series ^ ^

Mine is without a doubt Rock Lee followed by Haku and the ramen girl Ayame very closely (Come on the guy can do freaking one hand jutsus and you gotta have pity for the poor guy)

Rock Lee...how a man should be. Sure he cried when he was younger never thinking he could be a good ninja but after Mite Gai encouraged him he became a kickass taijutsu user. I especially loved it when he owned Sasuke before the preliminary exams started. He can also open 5 of the 8 chi gates, maybe even more just haven't seen it. and secondary lotus owns...felt bad how he lost to Gaara though.

Uchiha Sasuke
A genius ninja. He will do whatever it takes to reach his goal. Nothing stands in Sasuke's way. Even if it means betraying his village.
I like Sasuke's whole attitude towards everything. He doesnt randomly blame other for his problems. If he isnt strong then the fault is his own. He should have fought harder and trained longer. He seeks the strongest to teach him. Excepting nothing but the best.

I never really liked Gaara. He was too emo for me. His whole "kill, kill, die" attitude was a bit much. With all the things he went through he could have had a little more depth than that.
Also he made the sand seem very weak. The best of the sand Jounins couldnt take him down yet Rock Lee could hold his own with him and then Sasuke was the first person to make him bleed. At the time Sasuke and Lee were nothing compared to leaf jounin like Gai and Kakashi.

that's true, plus orochimaru was able slip through the sand's country's fingers and imitate the kazekage...so yeah I guess the sand is kinda weak but in the manga they explain all that and why it went downhill...it is sad if your country's strongest fighter is a genin....^ ^

I took a look at this little poll and let out a deep sigh. I love this damn anime/manga so much that I can't decide who I like the best out of the whole cast. I don't find any of the characters from the cast annoying or banal.

Though I elected Naruto, there are a couple of other characters on there that I'd definitely vote on too (in spite of the fact that I like all of 'em, there are certain ones that I hold in higher esteem). I'd like to throw my intangible votes towards everybody's favorite slouch, Nara Shikamaru, and the once-homicidal dood known as Gaara of the Desert.

I don't really have a favourite character. I have such a love/hate thing going on for most of them, that I didn't want to chose *any* of them.

I chose Naruto though, because he's probably the one I like the most, most of the time. He's the most consistent, and the most stable. [Jeez, I have enough of my own mental problems, I don't understand why anyone would admire them in someone else.]

There's something about him that just attracts all the other characters to him, and allows others to come to terms with themselves. He's been through a lot of not-so-good times, and he's got a pretty big burden of his own, but he doesn't let it get him down. And he doesn't let it turn him into some emotionless robot of a person. He cares about his friends, and he'll do anything to help them.

That's a lot to admire in a person, I think. He's also a pretty typical archtype, but his own unique quirks tend to draw attention away from that most times. Plus he never gives up, and he moves forward with his own strength, yet is willing to accept help when he needs it.

Next to Naruto, I think I other favourite [most of the time] characters would have to be Shikamaru, Gaara, and Shino. So many people take Shino for granted. He's funny.

Naruto (massive chakra; I know he never uses much strategy most of the time, but there are times when he does, and also mastered the Rasengan and developed the Rasen Shuriken (srry for the small spoiler: if you go to saiyanisland.com and then go to the Naruto section's Rasengan Guide, that's where you'll see info on the Rasen Shuriken at the bottom of the list; I haven't read the manga by the way); and he's also got a past that you'd think would've bumped him out, but he didn't let that hold him down, and he never gives up (I know someone already said that, but I think that's also the reason why he's a favorite of mine
Sasuke (gotta love the Sharingan and the Chidori! And he's also a cool guy, even though he's evil now)
Yondaime (he's labeled as the hero of the village for sealing the Nine-Tailed Fox inside Naruto)
Tsunade (gotta love the super strength, plus the fact that she's a medical nin, which also kicks ass, for obvious reasons)
Itachi (Mangekyu Sharingan just rocks)
Kakashi (he's just damn cool, and he also developed the Chidori)
and also Sakura, for the super strength she has now, and the fact that she's a medical nin
and of course Neji, for the fact that he learned the techniques of the Hyuga (is that the right spelling?) clan
Hinata's cool too; one of the reasons why is because she developed her own attack.

Orochimaru is A #1 the bomb. I tend to be more interested in the villains than the good guys and Orochimaru is by far the manga's best villain. He was an evil genius, a master ninja, and had so much more passion and character than any of the other villains who tend to be the rather one-dimensional "cold and heartless" types.

Plus, producing a sword out of your mouth is both disgusting and awesome, which is a pretty hard combo to pull off.

Very disappointing that he was defeated in such a bitch way, especially by Sasuke, who is definitely my least favorite character by a lot. :mad:

After reading the latest manga chapters, I have to say that Jiraiya and Pain just got bumped up to spots 2 and 3 (behind Orochimaru) for me. I always kind of liked Jiraiya, but now he's really shown that he's a lot more than just the perverted comic relief/teacher character. As for Pain, the dude is just a badass. Plus he looks awesome.

Choujii!! Boom! ever since his battle with Orochimaru's cursed minion has become my favourite. How he stands up for his friends selflessly and when hes in combat....he isnt cocky, foolish,easy to anger (Naruto is abit silly at times) or erratic just gets down to it. Hes just a sound guy.

I like how he grows his butterfly wings, Cant wait for that to happen in shippuden..!!! His power is insane at that point. I jsut like him couse he seems really selfish and lazy always eating and stuff and then hes like wham! "You called me fat mofo!?" Yehh im tired.....
