Nope, the anime is based on the manga. The anime covers the first 6 volumes while there are 9 or 10 volumes released in japan. The first chapters of volume 8 are starting to get scanlated now. ^^

they did a really good job going from manga to anime. its just for some reason they decided to do it in a different order.

:EDIT: i added some banners which are just smaller versions of some of the revy sigs in there. and all three of the revy sigs have been changed to black lagoon FC so im going to just move them in to the banners.

who knows? at this stage it could go on for a long time or it could not depending on the quality of the manga and the possibility of a third season so i guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well, there's rumours out there that Revy and Rock actually doing the dirty deed.

Especially after the "Cigarette Kiss" scene.

It's joked about in the second season, so there's always the possibility.

Rock's a healthy young man, and Revy's never really clicked with the opposite sex until now. Wild speculation of course, but the two have a lot of bizarre sexual tension bouncing around.

I also like Hotel Moscow a lot, their professionalism and ruthlessness is awesome. The Triad is also okay, but we don't see a lot of them. But I'm with the rest, Black Lagoon is my favourite, just because of the awesome characters and their "highest bidder" way of doing things, they're what real mercenaries are all about.

Its ok tank! the sub-groups cant get too full so which ever one you want, which im taking in lagoon company.

we have 9 banners already sobes which is about 5 more than most fc's have and we have 3 GIFs. i think yours is TOO big to be an fc sig anyway. i think we have enough and the ones we have are pretty good.

Black Lagoon *ç* cool anime, badass and very tough womens, killer guns, flyin' bullets with drama elements and a super awesome opening, one of best opening in the entire anime world (i love Mell songs!)!!!

Well when they made one and two they had all the manga for it already so thats why it came out so close together and why its taking so long for 3. the manga started in 2002 and the show started in 2006 so they had 4 years of manga for the first 2...

can't remember where its been said on few sites and i heard about it from a friend, but it hasn't been confirmed yet, so its most likely just a fan rumour saying that its to be released around the same time as FMA, they have enough Manga to probably make an episode or two but considering there is no fixed release schedule for the manga it is unlikely that it will be in April, unless Hiroe Rei starts releasing them more often, monthly at the least.

Balalaika. She's a great female character, she's strong, determined, and cares a lot about her comrades, from her direct subordinates to simple soldier... Though I really wouldn't want to get near her too much. She's kinda scary... I have to say also that she has got a lot of charism.

Generally I like the female characters in BL. All except Yukio Washimine. She's very good with words and long speeches, but she is basically a little egoist, who can't stand without Gin or other people around her. She says beautiful words, but at the end she doesn't throw the famous dice. She's only a spoiled princess who does not know and understand nothing about the world around her.

Gin is one of my favourite characters. He's loyal, he won't betray what he loves. He's poetic, he gives me the idea of one who still has got his heart and soul in the past, even if he knows that the past is not anymore. It's like in some way he knows thathe will die, at the end.

I like also the twins, Hansel and Gretel. THey represent in a beautiful and grotesque way the dirt of this world. They're poetic, and their way to think, and die is sad. At the end you feel like the fault of people dying because of the twins is not at all their fault.

And Rock. I can recognise myself in him, from the point of view of how he acts towards the others and the world he happened to be in. I love his way to "live in the light of the sunset", because it's true what he says, he can see all things in the light of the sunset, not only the nice things and not only the bad things.

The anime if BL is one of the best animes of any Manga of those I watched.

As for the Rock and a gun situation:
I do not think he would ever use a gun, he would rather die, than using a gun. He might use a gun to threat someone, but he cannot kill anyone, he is just too softhearted for this world of BL.

I love the nuns, especially the Granny, she has a nice gun and has good taste, cigarettes suck, rather smoke something good like cigars :D
I like the scene, where those guys hunt the girl for the print plate to make money. That was so hilarious, when Eda and Levi shot at them and then suddenly this boy with the machine gun helps them and Levi asks, who he is.

Yes, the manga was awesome, it fed my BL need. I agree, Rexel that Revy looked a little different in the first couple chapters but she looks more "normal" after that. And chapter 43 is the last of the anime (though I think they moved some story lines around, I'm not sure). Ch 44 begins the El Baile de la muerte arc. The manga is ongoing so I got a rude awakening when I kept clicking for the next chapter and nothing happened, lol.

yea...never understood that either. crappy part was that my harddrive crashed after i posted it so i lost the video...it was really good too. it was a lip-sync with ikkaku singing the song when he goes bankai...(aka unleash the dragon :D) a lot of people did it for hits so i thought why not ikkaku.
