Owner suffers a seizure while home alone and the German Shepherd remembers his training, picks up the phone, dials 911, and whimpers to the police. The police then precede to send an ambulance and the owner is saved.

I do. In my city the same happened with a cat. Though it didn't have to dial a number, it had to press an emergency button.

I've seen that sort of thing before. I remember reading something about a cat doing almost exactly the same thing. It really is amazing.

If animals are trainded well they can do a lot of stuff. I even heard about elephants that could make sensible drawings. Dunno if it's true though.

If you're referring to the elephant thing, yes it's true. Pigs and primates have also been known to paint.

what exactly do you find cute the seizing part, or the dog dialing 911 while the guy is seizing.

even the gayest part of me cannot find any part of what happened cute.

First and foremost dog is a man's best friends, especially German Shepards are proven in all kinds of field that they can more than helpful.
I read the story and to me it seems like another news labeled as odd news in yahoo-news section. The good thing is the responding caller took it seriously, other than that pure god-luck on the guy.
