Which part of it looks good?
The gameplay looks terrible.Especially with the system where u choose to target parts of their body and the AI's stupid.
The more i see it,the less i want it.

I think it's worth a fair try given that it's basically Oblivion with Guns.
I have it, its great. The VATS combat system works great and is extremely convienient, i cant imagine having to shoot a flying bug with a pistol or BB gun without the VATS. Being able to switch between 1st and 3rd person is nice as well.

That settles it. If Vic actually likes something, then it must be awesome.

I've played it a few times, and I loved it. I agree with Vic, mostly because of my complete lack of accuracy in most FPS games, the VATS system really helps me. And it's great to see a close-range headshot in slow-motion if you're in a bad mood.

I will say, playing Fallout 3 on the PC with maximum video settings makes for a very wonderful experience. The game is truly a visual masterpiece.
I want to get it, since i loved the first two, but ive heard the ps3 version is screwed up

This game is basically Elder Scrolls IV with guns in a post-apocalyptic world, which is why I love it so much. That, and a freeze frame of a headshot. That's always a perk.

i'm sold, i'm definately getting this! although...people are already asking me what i want for christmas for some reason...so i could always tell them to buy me this to shut them up?
I have been neglecting my Dwarf Rune Priest to play Fallout III.
I played the original 2 games (also became a fan of the Ink Spots and increased my Louis Armstrong collection after these) and I must admit that upon hearing the announcement that Bethesda would be making the third installment; "and" in first person view I was more than skeptical. Ok...perhaps screaming "you are wrong" and gripping my keyboard in nostalgic retro gaming outrage is slightly closer to the truth.
But I coughed up the cash and ordered the collectors edition of Fallout III for the PC and have been more than impressed. I personally love the new V.A.T.S system and think it works wonderfully (kudos to the developers for getting that to work as intended) and think the general overall "feel" of the post apocalyptic "sand and mohawk" desolate wasteland of a world translates through amazingly well. Hell, as person who usually leans towards bias in favor of squeals being more tech savvy and graphically advanced direct replica's of "ye old" fond originals, this game has been eating up my time considerably...I have been forced to order take out 3 times this week as cooking will detract from discovering new and exciting mutated wonders to splatter with my shishkabab (sp?).
They still have all the elements that made the original games classic's and thrown in some additional features...if your still stuck on fond memories of your old games; go through, play them again and then try Fallout III...you won't be disappointed, you will only feel progressive when seeing a classic title actively refreshing itself to remain up to date and reintroduce itself to a new audience.
(Plus...I had to save after killing each damn rat in the first game just to get outside and don't even get me started on the rad-scorpions you meet when you get outside near the start of the second game. Trust me, there is no teeth clenching frustration at trying to walk out of the vault in this game, just total immersion and fun)
Ok sorry, I didn't mean to write a review - just really like games lol
i just logged my 43rd hour on the game, and have just now started the 3rd mission on the mainquest.

Yes this is the best game out currently by far. Only Gears of War 2 will pry me away from it.

I'm going to get this pretty soon, as long as it is similar to Oblivion I think I'll be happy. Even though Oblivion had a couple of problems I am hoping this has fixed.
it really is the best game on the 360 to date

That's the console I plan to buy it for too, I was originally thinking of getting it for PS3 but they say it is really buggy.
I hope it's good <.<
I'm d/l it for the pc now....

I'll just throw this out there:
The Fat Man + Bloody Mess + Spike Energy Drink (350 mg of caffine) + 3 AM = Bundles of fun.
^lol indeed. I got back to fallout today for a few hours and blew a bunch of talon mercs and super mutants up in the capital building. I also fired off a fat man at that behemoth. Fun times. Its pretty funny to walk up behind a talon asshole who is busy shooting a mutie and blow his head off with a combat shotgun as well.

^Haha something that I'll need to try. Honestly, I hardly ever use the V.A.T.S. unless it's really necessary, i.e. in situations where the enemy is really far away or in situations like my previous post. It's still pretty fun to get an 11% chance headshot with a hunting rifle, though.
i'm the opposite, i like using VATS at close range for the killing shot cuz its hilarious to see limbs go flying.

That's entertaining as well. What's your favorite weapon? Mine, obviously, is the Fat Man. I wasn't sure what it did at first, so I shot it at semi-close range, just to see what would happen. Ow. I should try out the V.A.T.S.
combat shotgun and shiskabob
I am with Vic on that one...shot gun with VATS for that "bits flying sploode" effect but mainly the shiskabob most of all

Haha my friend killed Vance to get the shishkabob. He wasn't too excited about making the thing, so he went with the easy option.
And the combat shotgun just makes me laugh. Especially with Bloody Mess on. It gets a little ridiculous.
vance..who is vance again?

He's the leader guy of The Family. The guy trying to turn cannibals into vampires or something like that. I think you find him during the Blood Ties quest.
yeah i allied with those guys, they made bloodpacks useful for me, i didnt know he had a kabob tho, maybe i should go off him so i can repair mine.

Yeah the Hematophage perk makes things a little easier if you have low health.
well i just died actually, i was off exploring a new area and a pair of deathclaws surprised the hell out of me and i couldnt get far enough away from them to use the fat man. So yeah, i never explore at nite, the one time i do, death.

I just started this as as we speak! So far so good, tho it feels like im playing a modern oblivion.
Don't be lazy! Make the damn thing...Lol
As for me...I have work then language class afterward so I won't have time to go and find Dogmeat until this weekend. Has anyone found him yet? I heard (just like the previous game) he is crazy hard to keep alive.

i completed it with bad karma and good karma and i am now trying for neutral which is alot harder

Neutral is a bitch to get. Easiest way to do it is to just head straight through the main quest and kill everything that tries to kill you. Don't get involved in anything else. If a part of it gives you positive karma, just kill a bunch of people.
I love this game alot. I completed it with bad karma on my first char, so on my second I was like, let's try and have good karma. Well, I failed bad, and I'm now Very Evil with the rank Capitol Crimelord. Go me!
Yeah I tried to do it on good karma, then i blew up megaton. Oops. A good way to get neutral is helping out the pathetic water beggers, just give them a bunch of water if you are on the evil side. I shouldnt have to go into how to get back to neutral if your on the good side.
