These are all of the books I am currently in the middle of.

Queen of the Damned - Anne Rice started this one a year or so ago, Lestat was being gay and I decided to put it down for awhile.
Rebel Dawn - AC Crispon This one is really good, it's about a young Han Solo. I got the next Star Wars book in the series and put it down and kind of forgot I was reading it.
Planet of Twilight - Barbra Hambly The most recent of my Star Wars collection. I'm about half way through it. The author wrote another Star Wars book a couple back and it was AWFUL I have very low standards for this one. I also have another book by her that I got YEARS ago from the library for a quarter within the first 2 pages someone get's raped. I really don'tlike the author. FYI I bought it cause it had a dragon on the cover.
Dune - Frank Herbert I really love this one. It is one of the only books I not skipped through. Usually when it comes to the bad guys I skip or "boring" characters I skip till it's back to the good ones. But in Dune I never do that it's all interesting stuff. Though I am only half way through... I watched the mini series, so I do know what happens but it still keeps me on edge.
The Dawn Treader - CS Lewis I was trying to read them all in one go, but stopped here awhile back.

I'm not reading any currently but I am a book worm; I read lots of books like Double Helix (forgot the authors name) Heir Apparent (again, forgot the author's name) JK Rowling's Harry Potter books: I read the six books that came out, and the last book of the series, book 7, is coming out on July 23rd or something. Christopher Paolini's Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon, Eldest.... book three isn't out yet, so I'm still waiting)... Tamora Pierce's Protector of the Small quartet (it's four books), Immortals quartet, Daughter of the Lioness series (two books), and the very first quartet that started the Tortall Chronicles (Daughter of the Lioness, Protector of the Small, and Immortals are what the Tortall Chronicles is): Song of the Lioness quartet; these are great books, and both of these are also great fantasy writers! Another quartet by Tamora Pierce I read Circle of Magic, and also Circle Opens; there's another book that goes with all eight of those, called The Will of the Empress.... all of the books I've read are great, especially the Tamora Pierce books. I haven't read the fourth book of the Song of the Lioness quartet, since, I accidentally started with the daughter of the Lioness series, which was the last series in all of the Tortall Chronicles until Tammy (this is what her fans like to call her) decided to start prequel trilogy that dates 200 or something before the Song of the Lioness quartet, so only book one of the trilogy is out right now, and I just finished it a while back... by the way, the Lioness is a woman who became a legend, and is called the Lioness (she's a lady knight)
Note that I'm not telling you anything about the actual story... that's because I want you to read them...

Lets see
"The Adventures of Don Chipote"
by Daniel Venegas

about:
"Originally published in 1928, and written by journalist Daniel Venegas, Don Chipote is an unknown classic of American literature, dealing with the phenomenon that has made this nation great: immigration. It is the bittersweet tale of a greenhorn who abandons his plot of land (and a shack full of children) in Mexico to come to the United States and sweep the gold up from the streets. Together with his faithful companions, a tramp named Policarpo and a dog called Skinenbones, Don Chipote (whose name means "bump on the head") stumbles from one misadventure to another." "Along the way, we learn what the Southwest was like during the 1920s: how Mexican laborers were treated like beasts of burden, and how they became targets for every shyster and lowlife looking to make a quick buck."

I thought it was a little slow moving in the beginning because it's basically starting the plot but once you got the trial scene, it moved really fast.

"The Plague" by Albert Camus. I figured it was a medical school must read. And so far its great. Its about (obviously) a town infected by a plague and how it affects each of a variety of characters.

Apparently its supposed to be some kind of sociological and political commentary as told through the views of existentialism. (Thats what my brother tells me)

But all in all, its just an interesting read about people and how they deal with things.

High School Debut- Pretty cute shojo anime about this girl who gets this guy to coach her on being hot. The tagline of the manga is that the girl can't fall in love with him, but this in itself is an oxymoron, cuz we all know she's gonna hook up with him anyway. It's still cute though.

Five- A Ouran Host Club rip-off. There seems to be a lot of reverse harem stuff nowadays. The art is annoying, but the story is decent.

I've also read the entire His Dark Materials Trilogy. Pretty cool series. A bit weird at some points but hey it's fantasy, what'd you expect? I've also read the First two books of the series that is now being called the Inheritance Cycle because Christopher Paolini said there was no way he could do all that he wanted with the story in just the third book. Therefore he will release a 4th book after the 3rd one, which is called Brizingr. I got a newsletter about it in my E-mail.

I currently have a book called FireStar. It's about this guy who is writing a story, and the events of the story actually start happening in real life. He doesn't notice until later. I just started with it though...not exactly having much of a chance to read it.

I did read the Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald for English 3 though...good book.

i'm in the midst of reading books by ellen hopkins. she writes her novels in poetry form and it's really cool. she's got four in all, and i'm missing one of them, but the ones i do have are really good. they're: crank, glass (sequel to crank), and burned. there's another one called impulse that i haven't gotten yet. i'm absolutely entranced by the way she writes, though.

a few others i finished recently are: the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by mark haddon, and crooked by laura & tom mcneal.

for a bit of darker reading, try one of the following two: by blood written by steven womack, or the serial killers club by jeff povey.
