Michael Moorcock is a writer mostly known for writing fantasy and science fiction.
I've known him for quite a long time but i just started reading his books and he really is a unique man with unlimited imagination.
I picked up the Elric of Melnibone saga which is not really a hero but an anti-hero.
On the contrary with other heroic fantasy writers he makes his characters more "realistic" (as much realistic they can be in such books) in their reactions and feelings.Characters can often make mistakes and react like the "bad guys" do when the situation makes them so.
Elric which is the main hero of the novel is not a physically strong man that kills thousands with his muscles by swinging his sword. On the contrary he's is a sick man that is kept to life with potions.. an emperor that abandons his throne cause he's bored of the things happening and seeks his own justice.

I highly recommend it to everyone! It's probably one of my favourite books.
