Two games I have and I concure. Both have great endings, visualy and storyline wise. Final Fantasy 12, Legacy of Kain Blood Omen, and Star Ocean the second star story were all very good. My favorite ending so far is Final Fantasy 9.

Sure it left Master Chief's fate open so fans could dream about the next instalment, but it still ended the trilogy - The Covenant were beat/Elites went home, the fight for humanity's survival is over, etc.

SNES -> I'd have to agree with the Chrono Trigger post (default ending), with Tales of Phantasia ride around the corner (emulater version)

PS -> As much as I want to say FF7 and Xenogears, because both were incredible games...I'd have to go with Arc the Lad 2.

PS2 -> This is a tough one, because there are so many damn good games...So here's what I'll say:

1. Digital Devil Saga 2
2. Persona 4
3. Xenosaga 3
4. Magna Carta: Tears of Blood

I wouldn't say this is the best ending, but it is among my favorites and is very satisfying.

The ending to Phoenix Wright 3 really put a close to the Phoenix Arc. Everything about it was just perfect. It closed most, if not all, of the major loose ends presented through the trilogy. Going through the credits just makes you want to play it again. It is one of my favorite endings in any game.
