okay, I ain;t got the time to go thru all of the threads on BleachExile here to see if this has been discussed or not. But since Bleach is pretty much about the other side of life. And at first Ichigo was seeing ghost

Has anyone in here ever seen a ghost or have had a paranormal experience?

I was about 5 years old, and x-mas time at like 4am I reckon, and lights were all out in the house, and I heard footsteps in my kitchen, like someone had one dress shoes and they were nice and slow like someone was taking their time. and they were clear and I know I wasnt dreaming anything.. I remember laying there thinking, okay it cant be dad because he wears sneakers at night and if it was him, I would see lights on, my mother didnt wear shoes that "tapped" And my 2 older brother wore sneakers as well. So since I was so young, the only way I could explain it was that it was Santa Claus. u can laugh, but I wouldnt mind hearing some other stories

YEaha, well it'll probably get moved so i'll go ahead and reply anyway.

I personally haven't had any definitive paranormal experiences, unfortunately. I am very spiritual and I do believe that their is another level/plain of existence that very occasionally clashes or seeps through into this one, thus ghost sightings etc occur.

With reference to your "know i wasn't dreaming anything"; During the states of hypnogogia (the transitionary phase when you're going from awake to sleep) and hypnopompia (from sleep to awake) you can experience hallucinations, not just visual ones but audo and tactile (touch) hallucinations as well. The hallucinations that you experience during these periods between waking and sleep are some of the most realistic perceptions known to man.

I myself often have tactile hallucinations as i'm going off to sleep in Hypnogogia, it feels like a cat or equal sized four legged animal climbs up onto my bed and starts walking around over me, the most unpleasant experience was when this happened only the animal felt about the size of a dog, then I felt this really hot wet bad smelling breath on my face and heard this really heavy breathing and an overwhelming sense of malice and ill-intent as if a wolf was looming over me.

When I wake up i normally have auditory hallucinations, the worst being when I awoke at roughly 2am in the morning and I heard what sounded like lots of voices whispering hurriedly backwards right next to my ear. It completely freaked me out. After that I started sleeping in the front bedroom for a while, but the hallucinations didn't stop. I awoke one morning thinking my mate was calling my name telling me to get up, only his voice was coming from the top right hand corner of my room, as if he was spiderman perched in the corner lol. Then I also often hear auditory hallucinations of my mum and dad either talking or arguing. These are so realistic that I often have to ask mum or dad if they were having an arguement earlier whilst i was still in bed. I know they're hallucinations thought because it happens even when i'm away from home at my house in uni, I can still hear them as if i'm standing their, or my spirit is transported to the kitchen of my house etc.

Sorry that was slightly off topic with dreams etc but it demonstrates the ease with which we can confuse supernatural behaviour with sleeping hallucinations. How many of these accounts take place at night or just as the museum security guard "was nodding off to sleep" etc?

However one of my good teacher friends at school had a very unpleasant feeling when he was looking around a new house with his wife, they went into the Kitchen and he felt a dark unpleasant feeling creeping over him, then a choking sensation and said he had to get out of the kitchen. They left and enquired with the person showing them around, who reluctantly admitted that a previous owner had comitted suicide by hanging themselves in the kitchen. Eerie stuff...

Freakin' nightmares are a paranormal experience by themselves. Especially when you wake up screaming or fall off your bed.

Heres something i found posted recently on another site-

A SCHOOLBOY has captured eerie footage of what he claims is a ghost striding towards banisters at his home.

Terrified Reece Pitman, 12, heard whistling — and used his mobile to film the shadowy being.
It came days after his nine-year-old sister complained that someone was mysteriously finishing her jigsaws at night.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Sleep paralysis and the ensuing hallucinations are some of the most terrifying things you can experience. You're body has not reconnected to the brain, so you can't fully move, yet your conscious is awake, but still in Hypnogogia, the state between sleep and awake, during which you can experience incredibly realistic hallucinations which are so vivid and real they often make sufferers question the nature of their reality.

When I was around younger, I used to sleep with the door cracked open and a lamp in the hallway turned on. When I was nine or ten, I remember waking up in the middle of the night, and the light was off. I was really freaked out, because it was so dark I couldn't see anything. Then I saw this shadowy outline of a figure in the dark. It wasn't just a momentary trick of the dark, I could clearly see the outline of a person in the darkness. After a few minutes it went away. The next morning, my mom told me that the lightbulb had burned out on the lamp.

I'm not necessarily attributing it to ghosts or spirits, but it was definitely a very spooky occurence. It was probably the result of my overactive ten-year old mind, but even today I sometimes question whether it was real or not.

The only paranormal that I found is people doesn't get hurt after being slashed using a sword. In other words, invincibility.

But, later I found out, that it is nothing. A stone make it that way, there are scientific explanation for it, but I don't give a damn. Something related to electrical energy. The 'invincibility' is just work in a certain condition only.

I had sleep paralysis once, it was fucking scary. couldn't move. but I remembered that it was probably sleep paralysis because I'd read about it, so I didn't panic too much. Often times sleep paralysis is when people think they're being abducted by aliens or some shit....

it happens because you're paralyzed during sleep so that you don't act out your dreams and hurt yourself but then something goes wrong, basically the opposite direction from sleepwalking.

speaking of which apparently this woman in her sleep turned on her computer, logged in and sent a whole email, then went back to bed. apparently ambien can make people do weird shit like that.

creepy vid, so creepy to me coz I have experienced such things and still sometimes do...

I actually feel awake sometimes but my eyes are still closed but I could see what is happening around me... It's somehow like an out of body experience, and the worst part is I can't move and I can't breathe. It's a suffocating feeling and I feel like I am going to die. My sister caught me once in this state when we were travelling and she described me as having only the whites of my eyes seen and that my lids were constantly fluttering. At that point I was trying to wake up, because the feeling is too awful. at one time, in the middle of the night, I thought I saw a shadow above me. Since then, I slept with the lights on... Really scary.

There is also that one experience where I was alone in my room, and when I stood up, the mirror in front of me started shaking... I looked around to see if there was anything that could have caused the movement, but I found none.

I may be imagining things, but i think I am not. I periodically have experiences such as these.

I feel for you, but good on remembering what it was and just keeping calm. I've heard accounts of Sleep Eating and even Sleep Murder before. Not fun.

Yeah, one arguement is the fence snapped open, the force sent it rebounding shut and latched shut again, but if that was the case the fence would still be wobbling/quivering from the force, plus there were no latches on it.

Yeah man like you and Aiden, i feel for you, it's an experience I really dread every happening to me, especially me being so superstitious and all... But my best advice is just try to learn not to sleep on your back. I guess technically you ARE imagining things seeing as its your brain that "adds" data processed from your vision/audio and tactile units before interpreting it.

I don't necessarily believe in the paranormal but I had some experiences in life that I just explained through rationality.

One being when I awoke I saw a similar witch looking figure from a children's book that my teacher read to the class during our reading out loud session. It was a freaky children's book as well, but I didn't have any nightmares nor hallucinations at that time. It happened last year during the winter I believe. All I could do is just lay there staring at the figure. I sort of felt paralyzed, but that was due to the immense fear. I didn't scream, nor make a sound that early morning.

The other time was when I was walking into a basement and I felt some type of dark, evil, eerie presence and could only stand there stupefied until my friend grabbed me and said, "lets go." He felt the same thing. I dunno how to explain that one, but the other one is just some hallucination.

MY final experience was when I was about 15 and had this surreal dream about some crazy looking demon tapping dials to enter another dimension and asking me if I wanted to go. Before I could answer it, I woke up screaming for some odd reason.

but the mirror moving was me wide awake

I can sort of relate to this. I got a job cleaning some old church and I normally cleaned it alone. But one day as I was cleaning the bottom floor of the church, and I saw an old woman walking into one of the rooms. I didn't even bother going into the room because she was dressed in all black with a long hat on and a veil over the face. It was on a Tuesday as well and there was no services scheduled. I just left the vacuum plugged in and walked out quietly. I quit the following day.

Those dreams are caused by stress and anxiety and yea I've had similar dreams like that when i was around 15. Had I not known when i had the dream what it was yea i wouldnt probably be paranoid of sleeping, even for a few days from knowing what it was didnt feel like sleeping. they feel completely real until you wake up but at the same time you know there not real atleast I did. mine weren't about raping ghosts though LOL you gotta be real fucked up to have those hahaha

I don't believe in paranormal stuff. I've heard many accounts about people's friends, or a friend of an aunt of a friend, about freaky sightings and whatnot, but I don't believe it. Experience has taught me that people usually exaggerate stuff and make it seem larger than life; for what I don't exactly know, but suddenly a gust of wind becomes a full-blown ghost intrusion, etc... I'm not suggesting that you guys are lying or exaggerating... I'm sure you've all had those experiences, but most of them probably have a psychological explanation, as most of you have already elaborated. Some people seem to be more vulnerable than others to these kinds of experiences, so I can't really judge entirely if it's all BS or not... but at least for me, if I see it I'll believe it.

It is extremely freaky, however, when an entire situation develops right in front of you while lying in bed, and suddenly your brain snaps back to reality and you realize nothing really happened. I hallucinate almost every time I take an afternoon nap. Rarely has it been something extremely scary, but it's very disconcerting and creepy how I vividly remembered my mom coming to my room, having an entire conversation with her about me borrowing the car because she's not going anywhere, and then 5 minutes later I get off my bed to ask my mom for the keys and notice she's not in the house, and hasn't been in the house since she left in the morning.

Unfortunately I've seen ghost before. Twice actually although one might me due to stress and anxiety. The first time was at the age of 10 at my aunt's house. My uncle's dad passed away and a family gathering ensued. All the cousins were sleeping on the living room floor. If you could imagine the room divided into two sections one being normal day to day living room area and the second half is for more formal occasions. Were really not allowed in that area because its usually reserved for guest and the adults when they want to chat and sip on their coffee or tea.

News reached the family about the sudden lost and then I suddenly found myself sleeping in the living room with my other cousins. I was sleeping between my two older cousins so I made no sudden movements to disturb them. That same night we all had our gathering, I woke up around 11:30 PM for no apparent reasonand there it was a figure sitting in a chair facing the window looking out to the night. I could tell it was an old man. The defenition of his figure was blurred but yet identifiable. I could tell he was wearing a shirt and some pants. I was stunned not because I was afraid but more so because I didn't recognize him. In an instant he slowly turned his head towards me. I blinked and then he was gone. I knew has was my uncle's father only after the funeral when I later saw a picture over his coffin and I never told a single family member about what happend that night even till this day.

The second sighting was at the age of 15 or 16 I don't really remember. My cousin and I were both playing with a weegee board. If you know the rules your suppose to say good bye after your conversation. lol Well we didn't cause we forgot. Oh shit right? That night
I saw a face peek through the ceiling looking directly down upon us while laying on the floor next to my cousins bed. I tried to get my cousins attention but he would not respond to my questions. I knew he was awake because all he said to me was "shut up" when I asked him if he could see what I was seeing.

-by the way I didn't see a f-en chain on his chest.

interesting thread. :odd:

i can see ghosts and i can feel them. one time we went to this camp thing for school. i was unaware that my roommate can also see and feel 'them'. that opened up when the both of us started to feel and see, always at the same time. 'they' even tried to play with us when they begin to somehow suck out our energy and we begin to get depressed and start to cry for no reason at all. also, they're everywhere, and we can confirm that to each other. that's probably the scariest things that happened to us.

My room has pretty creepy stuff that happens. I usually keep my door shut and locked the handle will turn and the door will pull I thought this was one of my sisters until it happened when I was home alone. Other things has happened like I have seen a figure in my room and have woken up to a figure standing at my door. This is pretty creepy but it happens so often it doesn't bother me much. Besides that I will get the occasional finger tap on the window but that's about it. Creepy stuff lol.

I'm had plenty of paranormal experiences, since I was a young girl, till now. I've had my hair flicked, I've been randomly hit, groped in inappropriate areas, all while I was alone. I've seen shadows and sometimes even people. No one was there though.

One time I saw a cat in my kitchen, the weirdest thing. And we didn't even own a cat! But it was a clean and healthy looking cat, as if it was groomed and well maintained, not like street cats. I went to call my mother to the kitchen, but when I looked again.. The cat was gone. It was black with hazel eyes.

Another time, I had just gotten into bed. I leave my bedroom door slightly open at night. I have no nightlights, nor do I leave any windows open with the blinds up. I hadn't even gotten the chance to even doze off, I just laid down and began to cover myself. My living room lamp began flickering on and off... The next day, both lamps didn't work. One was perminantely damaged and even with new light bulbs, didn't work.

Sometimes when I watch TV, still to this day, my remote often shifts and flies off the couch or table its on. My Xbox turns on randomly, my TV turns on and off, objects in my house shift and get lost, then unusually reappear, months or years later. And my butt often is slapped and sometimes I feel a hand or something on my breast at night.

I woke up in the night and saw this womans head above me once with what i thought was a snake coming out of her mouth. i originally thought it was a hallucination in sleep paralysis, but i could move because i hid under my covers until it went away :(
