Urahara vs Soifon

So what do you guys think? Will Urahara take this or will Soifon. This is a shikai based fight so no bankai's allowed as we haven't seen them.

We have no concrete evidence on who is the faster one, so either having a real speed advantage is out. With Urahara's offensive attack he could very well keep the battle at a distance as well as seriously damage her. With the blood mist shield, he has a trump card incase Soi Fong sneaks up on him. Also, the superior analytical skills and intelligence for Urahara. Based on that, I'll go with Urahara.

Actually, if the manga is anything to go by Soifon and Yoruichi are pretty evenly matched in both hakuda and hohō - with Yoruichi beating Soifon only in shunkō(which to me implies a greater proficiency in kidō). Zanjutsu is a wild card, as Yoruichi to date has never used it.

Lnrd pretty much summed up what I think.
Urahara, who is an extremely intelligent man as well as, as revealed in TBTP, a prodigious hand-to-hand fighter, would win this matchup, I think. Plus, Benihime's long-range attack and defensive capabilities, as well as his evident skill as a swordsman...I'd say Soifon's chances at beating him are quite slim.

With that being said, I still think this would be an extremely interesting fight.

I will say *Urahara* alllllllllllll the way cus he is definatley one of those characters whom you know are strong & he is certainlly above Soi fon
Because he looks to me as the more experienced one and was able to block an espada's cero with his blood shield

I think Urahara very well could have been 2nd Division Lieutenant, but Yoruichi liked Soi Fon. And Urahara was in charge of the Detention unit and I don't think anyone could have done that but him. Based on that belief along with everything Lnrd said I think Urahara would be able to stop Soi Fon.

Tough match, I like Urahara but if he makes even the slightest mistake Suzumebachi will instant kill (which btw, i think is one of the cheapest zans in the series), anyway my instincts say draw but I'll side with Soifon on this.

This fight is meaningless!! Soi Fon is a close range figher, while Kisuke is also adept at close range he also has the offensive technique of Benihime!! And if Soi Fon by any chance gets close to Kisuke he has the Blood Mist Shield to protect him!! And there's his helluva lot inventions!!

Not sure why anyone would pick Soi Fon unless she was lucky and got off her cheap-ass two-shot kill. Urahara seems to be well versed in just about every category you could come up with, whereas Soi Fon is speed and.... yeah.

I would say Urahara, as he uses experience, skill, and tactics. While Soifon uses for the most part reckless speed, poison, and hand to hand martial art skills. I do believe it would be a close matchup though, depending on the environment and setting.

Why are you implying Soi Fon was the VC? Soi Fon wasn't the VC at the time. She wasn't in the Gotei 13 at the time. She was only in Special Ops.
