Studio: Production IG

Synopsis:Sengoku Basara takes place during the Sengoku Period, or Warring States Period, during which Japan was split into many minor states battling over power and land. The game features two historical warlords as the main characters: Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune.

This is another one of those game franchises that never turns out into a decent anime but pleases the fans of franchise. Game-based anime very rarely ever (the only reason I’m not saying never is because there must be well over 100 anime based off games and at least one of them must be vaguely enjoyable) become a good anime, so I don’t think I’ll bother with this one at all.

Looks interesting, I'm going to definitely try and catch the new FMA series

But also I want to keep my eye on Shangri-La and Phantom, those two look interesting as well.

Dragonball Kai having all new voice actors could be really interesting, I really hate alot of their Japanese voices, Goku and Adult Gohan in particular sound younger than Goten and Kid Trunks

I will watch FMA for sure and then randomly watch series later as I have time.

K-ON, Senjou no Valkyria, FMA, Pandora Hearts, East of Eden, Shangri La have the highest priority this season.
Other shows which I'll probably end up watching are Natsu No Arashi, Phantom, Tears of Tiara, Sengoku Basara, Guin Saga, Hatsukoi Gentei and HnG2 (need to watch S1 first though)

Definitely watching FMA and probably DBK, and I might check out K-ON.... dunno. I prefer to wait a bit usually to get a sense of what people like, what shows are about. I don't get a good sense of whether I'll like a show from little synopses like these. I also have a huge backlog of older anime I still have to watch... like lots of Gundam, NGE, etc.

FMA look no better than any other anime in this list and , because you know what is it really about, think it look good but that is only because you have a knowledge of it and not because of the list.

Open your mind for god sake, there isn't only what you know who is good in the world, yeah FMA gonna be awesome but that's not the only thing who will be

Senjou no Valkyria along with FMA, after a little while I will check out a few of the others also.

Edit: Pandora hearts sounds Interesting, will check that out straight away also.

That does look interesting tho i would rathe see Liu Bei as the main character, always preferred him to the other 2 leaders

So far FMA, DBK, Asura Cryin' and several others are on my list

I just watched the first ep of Asura Cryin' by a random subber and it looks good, the first episode caught my interest so I will probably follow it to the end, but the rest of the shows, I will sort of wait out and see what others say about it and go from there, I try not to follow too many anime each season, will watch 2 or 3 and get the rest when more eps are released of it

but I gave Asura Cryin' a 7.5/10

Couple of first episode of shows of the spring ive watched so far:

Asura Cryin:
Watched the first episode. Animation is ok, but it will look better once better raws come out and it get subbed. Excellent OP and the ED was ok. Characters seemed interesting and enjoyable to watch. You got a good sense of plot in the first episode as well. Everything was pretty good to me. Definitely will continue to watch this.

Overall: 8/10

Phantom Requiem for the Phantom:
First episode was good. Good OP, didn't like the ED tho. Animation was phenomenal(The fact that it was in 810p made it stand out just that much more), good action scenes. Characters were some what interesting overall, with most of my interest being towards Ein. The plot is pretty understandable as well. Liked the assassin thing going on and the way its done in the first episode. Will continue to watch this as well.

Overall: 8/10

Queens Blade:
I watched the first episode and i have no comment:smile:. No score either

Girl power seems to be in this season.

Srs note: half of them look pretty interesting, considering what crap has been out lately. Remakes are 50% chance going to be disappointments (but you never really know) and the few I've been able to get my hands on (K-ON, Tears to Tiara, DBK/FMA remakes) have been, if nothing else, promising.

To be honest I never found Liu Bei as an individual to be that interesting, he was always portrayed in ways which reminded me too much of Song Jiang from the Water Margin, whom I don't particularly like. Cao Cao's ambitions and his trademark suspicious and at times cruel nature in the Romance novels is what makes me prefer him over the other two leaders as an individual, to me he is sort of like Caesar of the three kingdoms. Though I did prefer Shu over the other two nations due to the the many colourful characters who were under Liu Bei's wing at the time, namely Zhuge Liang and the Five Tiger Generals, after all the sworn brotherhood in the garden of peach blossoms was probably my favorite part of the entire novel.
