Plot:K-On!'s story revolves around four Japanese high school girls who join their school's Light Music Club to try to save it from being disbanded. However, they are the only members of the club, and the last recruit, Hirasawa Yui, has no experience in playing instruments or reading sheet music.

Well, after watching the first episode it seems like KyoAni did it again with this show....it was funny, lighthearted and very cute. Looks like this will be one of this season's best shows. Oh, and Mio is love. And so are both the ED and OP...

Just have taken a quick look so far, and at the pace it's going I'm not expecting any Budokan gig soon XD. Gah, it has no furigana though, so it makes it pretty difficult to read so I can't say for sure though ;_;

There's a good possibility of Haruhi 2 being aired this summer. It pretty much got confirmed that the current airing will have 28 episodes, which means that the reaired episodes will be followed by 14 new ones.

A slice of life series isn't usually my kind of anime, but seeing that it's music related, I can try and follow it as far as I can before I get sick of the cutesy moments. First episode didn't disappoint, animation was top notch, art was pretty, it was little bit boring but the music made up for it, and the ED song was bitchin awesome but made the OP song sound bland in comparison.

At the pace it's currently going it really doesn't look like it. I mean, they're going at one chapter per episode afaik, and the first volume has exactly 12 chapters or something like that. Besides that, they'd have to change the OP/ED, which is kind of unlikely for a 13 episode anime.
I hope I'm wrong though, since I really want to see her. Also it would be kind of weird to end the anime while the club is under threat of disbandment. Or maybe they've got a second season planned already...

Oh, the Kannagi stuff was ridiculous. Some japanese Otaku's raged after seeing getting some information of a new chapter in advance that Nagi apparently had sex/was together with some other dude before the timespan of the series.
The sex part wasn't even true, but the Otakus raged anyway, and then got ridiculed by the rest of the anime community. It's just as you said about the "pure" aspect of a character.. :P

Afaik there are rumors around that Mio has a boyfriend or something in the manga, so that's where the slut part comes from lol. Although as far as I've read there's been no mention of her having a bf anyway.

I still couldn't find anything special about the single... Now I wonder if the K-ON character singles will do better.

Hehehe, their buying power is indeed crazy. Lots of K-On! related item sales have skyrocketed (Headphones Mio was wearing, Guitars, Basses etc)... :D

As for episode 9, it was great. I didn't think that it was possible but Azu-nyan is right up there with Mio on the moe scale XD. Her cake on/off switch is just hilarious, and the nekomimi scene with her and then mio was priceless :D

Oh, and the slight OP change was a nice touch aswell. Althought too bad that they didn't do the same with the ED - I would've loved to see Azu-nyan in one of the gothic outfits.

Episode 12 was amazing, I loved it. It had lots of great moments, like the eadible eyebrows, young Yui, everyone worrying about Yui and of course the concert with even Arakawa-sensei playing. :3

I don't remember it having any "main" story (unless I need to get my head re-check).

The only thing I felt from the ep was that it lacks a better 'closure', so to say at least.

Imo episode 13 is unnecessary, episode 12 would have make a good final. I would be happy if they do a second season but to finish the first like that I must say that they could have think it over again.

As for the last episode, I don't mind it. I've always liked how SHnY's ending the chronological way, even though some people complained that there was no climax towards the end etc, etc.

Also, remember how there were people who said that this series would be completely forgotten after a few months? Well, they're wrong, with K-On Blu-Ray breaking a sale record for TV anime, and various character singles still topping the charts. Also there is an upcoming live-music event scheduled.

Live-action? Well at least it won't be as disasterous as series that is beyond logical explanations (e.g.Sailor Moon). It's a quite normal school-life... except for the cosplay part >_>

I lost some interest in the series towards the end of the first season, but the final episodes were pleasant enough. I don't think they can carry over the same formula to the second season and keep it going for another 13/12 episodes though.. Interested, but not with a lot of expectations.

The second season will probably end with the highschool graduation, but if it continues beyond it, like the manga is currently hinting at it will be amazing. :3

As for the specials I think I've watched 2 or so. Plan to watch them all once I have all the Blu-rays ^^
