Introduction
Senjou no Valkyria: Gallian Chronicles is an anime adaptation of a role playing game made for the PlayStation 3. The story takes place in the 1930's, in Europe, which is divided into the Empire and the Federation. The Empire and Federation have each for a long time striven to become the ruler of Europe, it is this goal that leads the two military powers into a war.
We follow a small independent nation that is located in the worst possible place, right between the Federation and Empire. Gallia is also a source for Ragnite, which makes it even more wanted by the superpowers.

The description sucks so if you dont like the sound of it ignore it as the story has alot going for it.

Having played the game I can say that I'm completely satisfied with the adaptation so far. Sure they changed some things, but it doesn't really affect the plot. Also, it's great to know that we'll get Marina and Edy as support characters later on.

Animation was great, I loved how they kept some of the waterpaint effects from the game and also used the original bgm.

I'm going to rage if they change things about mission 16 or the epilogue though!

Knowing nothing about the game I enjoyed the first episode a lot. Looks pretty good and the characters so far are pretty good; animation is top quality too. I like the way the shading looks, though it took a little getting used to. Definitely gonna keep up with this one.

Well, I haven't played the game and have high expectation for the anime.

But ep.1 do have some pacing issues to deal with. Laughing, talking casually in the middle of a battle just after throwing the grenade? Err...

Nice second episode, I really liked how the anime portrayed the events in Bruhl.
Can't wait for the next one though, since finally the rest of the cast will be introduced :D

So far I enjoyed the first and second episode. I am surprised that there is a tank that can take tank fire without damage and move at that speed through.:amused:

Nice, I didn't even know about that! Since Valkyria Chronicles is one of my favorite PS3 games, I'm definately checking this out. Funny thing is I was thinking of starting the game again, but I'll watch the anime instead, I guess.

Episode 3 is pretty good. Too bad about the discrimination against Darsceans(misspelled?) from fellow soldiers. Good strategy to go underwater and launch a surprise attack.

I still can't see the purpose of Hans to exist, even though he originally is from the game. He needs to be shot down or boiled in a pot :suspicious:

Episode 5 was good but they missed a minor detail from the game which is they fight Jaeger's tank.

Not really, since the ruin we saw that Silvaria (or something like that) had supernatural power, at least enough to slice a bullet in twice.
I guess the opening say that Alicia is also a decendant of Valkyria.

Yeah But oyu know i thought Silvaria was like reiji or something...she oculd "activate" a super-instinc mode.....but not some crazy magical shitz...anyways...the story is awesome andi have no doubt it'll stay good till the end...even if it curves a lill bit toward DBZ xD

well we can only wait and see because as good as the game is, you never know what those dang crazy creators over in Japan are thinking when a series gets towards its middle to end parts. (as seen in many series that caused many ppl to almost not watch the rest) but i doubt it since that new op is awesome lol.
