The English dub of Bleach isn't too bad, but after getting so far along with the manga and subs I just don't have reason to care anymore about the dub. Nice to see that AS hadn't just killed it off yet though.

Episodes 110 & 111 of Bleach both aired english dubbed 5-6 hours ago, did anyone else besides me manage to watch both episodes?

I started bleach watching the dubs before I switched to subs, they butchered shinjis voice truely horrible.

Edit : It was only in the class room, shinjis voice is way more bearable when his outside of the school.

Shinji's voice is alrite, I need to watch the episodes to hear Hiyori's.

Good grief, I need to get caught up, don't I?

"There's something called a comb - you know, you should try one."
cynical prick.
"Try not to get my body arrested."
LMFAO.

Great couple of episodes. I'm probably one of the few people who had no problem with how horribly, horribly annoying Shinji sounded when he first showed up at the school, because he annoyed me just as much in the original Japanese version of the scene.

Shinji's voice is a little too whiny, but otherwise alright. Even though I've seen all these episodes several times over already, I'm going to watch them just to see how the voices for the Arrancar sound.

Anyone know who's tapped to play Ulquiorra or Grimmjow?

Nothing solid. Steve Blum and Scott McNeil voiced Ulquiorra and Grimmjow, respectively, in Bleach: Shattered Blade, but there's actually no word yet on whether or not they'll reprise the roles for the animation.

Personally, I think Steven Jay Blum is perfect for Ulquiorra. His deadpan timbre of voice reflects Ulq's personality to a T.

Well, saw eps 112 and 113. The guy who does Ulquiorra is the same guy who does Kon's voice. How messed up is that?

Yammy's voice was okay, so was Hiyori's.

Curious to see how Grimmjow's going to sound.

I've been watching, not bad. But, can anyone tell me what the hell is up with their spelling of Vaizard. They spell it Visored. How the hell can you past tense a noun.

Stranger things have happened.
I'll have to wait and watch it tomorrow afternoon.

MY GOD, Urahara's so full of shit. Here he is standing there, knows EXACTLY who and what the Visoreds are in the precise circumstances in which they became the way they did, and he sits there quietly and lets Isshin rattle off an explanation that is, in the broad strokes correct, but overall inaccurate. (Yeah, I realize that technically, TBTP Arc hadn't even been written yet at the time. But looking back on that ep knowing what we do now, it jsut makes Urahara seem like he's full of shit (which we knew already, but I digress)

Nothing too bad about the eps. Ulquiorra's voice is annoying, but hey, it fits okay (Not as bad as it could've been)
Yammy's a good fit, voice-wise. Not too bad...the one I really can't wait for is Grimmjow.

Urahara didn't say anything about the visordes because his involvement with them has not been revealed yet. My guess is that they didn't want to spoil it or something...

Does anybody have an idea who will do thed other Vaizards voice(especially Kensei's)?

apparently it's Dave Mallow.

or at least that's who IMDB has listed.

I know that, but looking back I kinda get a sense that he's more full of shit than anybody except Aizen.
He's still a BAMF though. And a BAMFWIC, even.

sure no problem moondragon.

and it is a sort of a slap in the face that Urahara didn't say anything about the visordes, when he is so involved with them, but he also did the same thing when it came to Aizen, he didn't tell Ichigo or anyone else that Aizen was a traitor, or try to warn them.

Actually Adult Swim only aired one new episode of Bleach last night, the other was a rerun from last Saturday.
@Shapeshifter, there's no Bleach in Aussie land? Well that sucks, at least you can watch both the English dub and the Orginal Japanese versions on the Internet. Youtube is your friend

I was disappointed with the 113 ep of the DUB. I was hopin Steven Blum would voice Ulquiorra. It would've made him sound less EMO-ie, but still dark and cool. I also hate how they pronounce Ulquiorra and Grimmjow. Ulkiora and Grimmjaow. WTF?

EDIT: There might not be Bleach in AussieWorld, but I know there's some One Piece there... None in America... T_T

Well cartoon network royally f'ed one piece fans in the @$$, with bad dubs(two characters got dif dub voice mid series), retarded censorship (lol, no cigs for sanji-lollipop insted......), and just over all stupidity.

I wish that they would just let scifi get the right's to bleach already so that we can at least get dub similar to gundam

It's actually nothing to do with who AIRS it, but with who gets licensing rights.
Although censorship on Cartoon Network has been known to happen and get fairly lolworthy results: The "disco gun" edits of the aired version of Gundam Seed, for instance:
http://www.nationmaster.com/wikimir/images/upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e9/Discogun.jpg
Though the guns are unchanged in the DVD version, and the dubbing itself is pretty good. As are most Gundam dubs (even G Gundam, censorship of the names aside, was a pretty good dub)

But One Piece was licensed by 4Kids. 4Kids, who edited out altogether every gun in the dubbed Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, so that instead of pointing a gun at ppl, Bandit Keith or Pegasus's goons, for example, were apparently threatening to poke them. So yeah, a One Piece dub by 4Kids was guaranteed ass-suckage from the outset.

EDIT: Added a picture of the aforementioned infamous "Disco Guns", purely for the lulz

ROFL-well said, didn't know it was 4 kids fault thanks for setting me straight in that regard.

What?! They're making you watch 4-kids dubbed One Piece? Oh my god... I'm so sorry, my friend. That's worse than having it in America. I'd rather not have One Piece in my country than watch it get dubbed by 4Crap Entertainment again... *shivers*

They're not making any real progress on [as] when it comes to the dubs of Bleach. In three days you can jump up to episodes 170 from them showing in the 120's. They are bit by bit and slowing down on the action yet to come. And the suckiest part is, you have to wait a whole week to see ti again next Saturday. Lame.

Designed with many of the best features found on Spyder's Jacket, this women's Spyder jacket (http://www.jacketscart.com/2009-womens-syder-jackets-insulated-white-p-64/) is a prime pick for those who don't need a detachable hood because they already ski with a helmet (or a really cool embroidered ski beanie). Everyone likes Spyder's new articulation pleats, a fashionable way to improve your mobility in the jacket through a functional design. If you're a believer in getting what you paid for, this spyder jacket delivers on all counts with a quality construction and skiing-oriented features for big mountain destination resorts. If there's a drawback to this jacket, it might be its popularity--check your size and order now.

And what does this have to do with bleach:huh:!?

I think it's getting about time to edit that title. Hueco Mundo arc (a.k.a The arc that Kubo just can't seem to end effectively) begins on Saturday. I know WW is the main arc currently but HM ain't over until they return.

At the rate they're going, Ichigo should be fighting Ulquiorra (round 1) by October (late September at earliest). I was thinking they'd hold off with new episodes for awhile given they're starting to catch up to the anime overseas but they may run it up to Grimmjow and stop there since that is the best place to stop then new run of new episodes and start the next run in the Amagi Arc next year.

I dunno if it's true or not, But i heard somewhere that they might end the 2 New Episodes a week and go back to 1 a week sometime in September, I have no proof, but it's just something I heard :P.

i've been catching to the dub and so far not bad, cant wait for hueco mundo.

Magnus
08-25-2009, 08:38 PM
Well hueco mundo began. And of course they waste no time getting Uryu and Chad back into the fray. Them pretty much keeping Ichigo out of the fight was the right thing. They don't want him getting too cocky nor wasting power until they compelte their mission, though that won't be the case once Ichigo runs into "you know who" for round 1.

Next week, Stark, Barragan, Halibel, Nnoitorra, Zommari, Szayel, and Aaroniero are introduced, as is Nel. Curiosity intriuges me as to who they got voicing the rest of the Espada. Hopefully the rest won't be disappointments.

And judging form the credits screencaps, it seems they do intend on taking this thing up to Grimmjow.

Saw the episode where all the espada and nel show up...Yeah...

First off Nel, she didn't even sound like a child. So it was real awkward listening to a grown women talkin like a third year.

As for the Espada, the only one that had a good voice-over was Zommari but he only has a few lines in the whole anime. Nnoitra's was a joke and Harribel's tried to sound all tough but failed. Barragan sounded like Yama. Stark and Szayel was meh. Aaroniero's deep voice was good and the high voice was squeaky.

yeah nels child voice was a little disappointing but it could have been a lot worse.

hearing nniotras voice almost caused me to murder myself. but then i thought how much worse itd be if that had been GRIMMJOWS voice and i felt a tiny bit better.

i actually like halibels voice, it wasnt too bad.

i dont really remember anyone else's voice... i got too distracted by nnoitra hahaha.

i fucking hate dondechakka's voice. oh my god. he sounds horrible. that voice actor needs to be annihilated.

at least bawabawa kept it real, :P
