It's pretty cool, but is it really necessary? How does making it ultra-thin improve anything? If I had it I'd be afraid of breaking the thing.

looks awesome^______________^is this practical though?

wow, looks really nice and classy. fragile too.

sure it's a good t.v, it should be. technology is in the process of a never-ending improvement. but, the user might have problems when it comes to repairs and stuff, in case the t.v proves to be defective. also, parts of the t.v might be hard to replace in case needed, since it's still new, and it seems to be the first t.v this thin.

That girl is pretty cute. I want both. It might not be practical but it looks very efficient in regards of materials used to manufacture the tv, I would assume.

Consuming less resources to make a greater profit. They save 2 million dollars a year just in the 1lb less of plastic they use per unit(not for real) I wouldnt be any more scared of breaking it than a regular tv. Since when does thickness denote strength? Take any tv ever created and drop it 3ft. They will all break. So i think yall are too focused on fragile. All tvs are fragile. I think its better. Because its just as fragile but its lighter and easier to manage.

Pretty sweet though. Getting to the point where the only next step is no screen at all.

. . . Then how would you watch TV?

Holographics. It would look like a screen but nothing is there but the image. Then light sabers! Score But yea it would have teh same problems as a light saber. How do you stop the light without a physical object? But now screens are getting as good as they can be. So we can get more people working on this screenless tip. lol

Imagine a cell phone no bigger than the key pad. Yet has a holographic screen upto 10". That would kick ass so hard. Damn you physics!

meh magicians can already create images with smoke and mirrors. Why not science with projections.

I wouldn't be too bothered by the fragility. In fact, normal TV's a more liable to cause damage. Any TV can break if a kid accidentally throws a Wii mote to it. Also, if a kid is playing with the screen and it falls on him, it wouldn't hurt him as much as a normal TV which weighs a ton. I would actually prefer this to a normal TV, especially because it saves a lot of space. You can hang it on a wall like a picture. It leaves a lot more room in the house compared to a giant box in the middle of the room. You'd only have to worry about finding the remote.

That scene in Minority Report isn't too far away it appears... First I think they'll progress onto Glass/Perspex/some kind of transaparent tablet onto which images will be projected or manipulated through electric currents, then eventually onto no glass.

But shit the, computer from Iron Man with the 3D user interface... WANT MOAR!
