So here it is, many of us bought an 00-Raizer box set that was released in December 2008 just before Christmas right? You could tell that they kinda rushed the design because my 00-Raizer's Raizer shoulders are very fragile. Everytime they fall off I go "SOFT!". Also, it looked so plain with plain white legs and the blue looks so bright that makes the model look like a toy. Plus we didn't know about the sexy-ass GN Gun Sword III coming out before buying it.
Now that the series finished, they released a new version of 00-Raizer for sale - the 00-Raizer 1/100 Box Set Version 2! (I call it version 2 to distinguish) It is redesigned, reengineered, refreshed! It has come with the new sword as well as old swords and NEW features.
The GN Sword III uses a semi-clear gree plastic . There are beam attachments included for all 5 swords. I'm serious. 5. The beams for the 2 GN Sword II's are just like those on the Robot Daimachi version of 00-Raizer Trans-Am, and the beam sabers are the usual toothpick shapes(a pet peeves of mine is using Gundam swords as toothpicks. I DO WASH THEY AFTER THOUGH) the GN Sword III's bean is a huge lance shape, AS WELL AS A CLEAVER SHAPED BEAM THAT SOMEWHAT LOOKS LIKE THAT ON CROSSBONE GUNDAM.
Then here comes the major changes. THEY SWITCHED THE DAMN CELESTIAL BEING STAND WITH A CHEAP ASS GREEN ONE THAT RESEMBLES THOSE BANDAI GAVE US ON THE FIRST EDITION DESTINY KITS.:mad:And its not even half the size of one of those.
Anyways on to the Gundam itself. Remember how the original kit had the O Raizer sticking out in the back like a dick that needed viagra? They made it foldable so that it actually looks like a backback! another change is that the dickhead of O Raizer is smaller, it's not the same long pokey looking stick anymore. I'm not sure about the Raizer's wings but I think Bandai would've learn their lesson and make them sturdier on the shoulders.
Ok enough about the damn plane, back on the Gundam. The chest of the gundam is relative higher, which reveals more of the waist mechanisms and it seems to have the flexibility of one of the old MG's. The shoulders are redesigned too, they no longer look like just a plain piece, theres 2 layers now!!! The new kit also has all those little runner holes that the old 00 had filled(notice the feet and the inner part of the ear fins?).
The position of the mask for the head is altered so it shows more of the Gundam's eyes and doesn't look like it has a huge underchin. The Neck is a little bigger. No, that was wrong, the Neck was HUGE. Although you don't notice it when you actually put it together though.
Thighs are longer, which makes the Gundam look a lot better by increasing the inbalance of length and width. Slim, and Thin. They slimmed down the ass and the 00's backpack, which is all the better.
THE HEAD ACTUALLY COMES WITH A LIGHT SO IT GLOWS!!!!!!!! No more looking for that one unique LED. ALSO THE DETAILS THEY ADDED IS AMAZING, with all the DECALS AND CRAP. :amazed:
In conclusion, this kit is simply amazing for an HG, here in Canada they are selling it for $95(Tax Inclusive) thats the lowest price I could find. It's probably about 7000 yen in Japan. I'm gonna get this kit through a friend and even if pops and moms complain about me getting the same Gundam I won't regret.
