Did you play with lego when you were younger? Idid. Do you think it's actually possible to grow out of lego? OF COURSE NOT! Lego fucking rocks. Especially Star Wars lego (am currently playing through the two games on the PS2, man thats some badassery right there in lego format.
So if you were into it what were you into? Back in the day i was MAJORLY into the Pirate lego, I remember I got one of the massive Lego Pirate Galleons for Xmas and would race home ever day from school, screw homework, and sit on the carpet making the ship and taking me time over it enjoying the construction, which in all fairness is the best part about it, seeing these intricate models coming togeter via all the little bits come together and marvel at how someone could actually think this up...
Sad? Maybe. Awesome? Hell yeah.
Your thoguhts/opinions?

Sad? Maybe. Awesome? Hell yeah.
Doesn't matter. Legos will always own. And, yes, the Star Wars ones were the most badass. I had a friend who was really hardcore into legos and used to send his 'creations' into the Lego company and he got like 4th place in some contest...

Awesome. I saw a pretty badass one of the Ebon Hawk, will try to find it... Also will post my fave models/ones that I want but are a little on the expensive side...

The ARC-170 and V-19 Torrent fighters also looked pretty cool.
Those above are my two faves. The ones below are just sheer awesome lego badassery.

I cannot deny that I once did, legos rules. ;P Props to you for putting together all this win. Being a fan of the CIS, that Lucrehulk or Trade Federation Mothership is amazing....I'd love to see a CIS Providence cruiser myself.

its win because it is sooooo true. i know i kept all mine from either general lego boxes or actual sets in a random tub...
it really sucks cause you always know the exact piece that you have that you need...but like the poster says...you just cant find it.

ZOMG YES! I always get back from uni and am well pumped for some lego building, get my boxes out of the loft (i got two of the messes like the type shown above) then get them into my room, and suddenly completely lose the will to continue lol.

did you like doing sets more or just having a bunch of legos and building your own shit?

I think i got more satisfaction out of the sets, i dunno, i just find something therapeuical/meditative in following the instructions or trying to figure it out first with the bits ive got then making it properly. Once it's made the fun pretty much ends there unless its a big set. And they bigger they get the more expensive they get. The Apprentice's ship from Force Unleashed is outrageously expensive for what it is. As is the Grievous Guard's Magnafighters, like £50 a set.

i remember once for christmas i was bought the hogwarts castle (harrypotter), the bathroom and snapes dungeon. Building those was one of the funnest things ever (took me 6 hours, while watching star trek with the whole family)
Star wars lego is win, i have more star wars lego then anything else. Favourite lego piece was eithe the A-Wing or the droid tank.
i also had this giant megablock castle i combined with lego to be the perfect fortress, as well with tons of custom made ships and stuff, took it apart about a few years ago since idint use it. If ever i get the space and the time il rebuild it and i mite post some of it since its relatively intact.
also waht happened to the lego fc, did it get pruned?

yea i know what you mean.
but i always found more satisfaction from making my own shit. mostly i made houses when i was younger with a friend and we would act as our guys living in the houses...it was fun :D

If left to my own devices I almost ALWAYS undoubtedly end up making either Star Trek ships, like future classes of the Enterprise, or Submarines... will have to try making a battle ship someday... mmmmm DAMMIT i only put my lego back up in the loft today... sigh...

Lego brings back so many memories for me when i was younger.. probably the best 'toy' you could ask for, and you would use it over and over and over again

I still love legos. Star Wars ones are always the best. I once built the huge super-sized Star Destroyer lego set. It took forever, but was completely awesome. I'll never stop loving legos. I could live to be 100, and I'd still be playing with them.

holy shit milkshake! Cowboy Bebop lego! Someone might have been good enough to make some instructions for it and post them up, guess you'd just have to look...

Holy crap....people make amazing things, a warhammer Dreadnought? I used to just pull out my box, that's right a box of all the legos I ever had and just make random stuff. Mostly like mechs or ships. Good times, good times.
