Since there's a few of us here now, let get on with some chat! Favorite character(s), episodes, etc...
My character of choice is Zoidberg followed by Bender and the Professor.
I'm not sure if i can really pick a favorite episode now, I can say the "Jurassic Bark" it just amazing. One of the most touching stories you'll ever see, and it's in a comedic cartoon.
Random note... Thanks to the head of Richard Nixon's advertising, I actually made a point of trying a "Charleston Chew" whenever I found one (I have since found and tried one, they're pretty good LMAO).

favourite Characters Zoidberg,Bender,Fry,leela and amy:D,favourite episode hard to say i have a lot:D although Jurassic bark is definitely one of them@MMZ its real O_O
my favorite character by far is Bender...I love his humor and quotes from him. I suppose my second favorite character is Fry, he never thinks things through, and he's a rather relatible character.
and favorite episode, I do like "Jurassic bark" but I don't really like it, because of the ending, but I think my favorite has to be when becomes god and has little people living on him while being lost in space.

or when he gets his gender changed so he can win a gold medal in the Olympics, and starts to fall in love with calculon.

only thing i hold against futurama is that it seems that when groening focused on futurama it spelled the end of the golden years of the simpsons. maybe just coincidence. anywho, if i get reincarnated i want to be a robot who runs on alcohol!

True... Simpsons hasn't been all that good for a long time, but without the Simpsons having been before then we wouldn't have Futurama, Family Guy, or such.
Futurama has a better variety of characters than the Simpsons. The sci-fi theme to means robots, aliens, etc are more common and can make for more outrageous characters. Morbo the news monster FTW! XD

yea, they made 3 or 4 i think, 90 min movies and i think they're all for rent. i've seen the first two, and they are pretty classic futurama. i'm hoping it will be another series resurrected by DVD sales.

@MMZ - definitely true - the simpsons will always be my first and favorite animated series.

I'll join, this is one of my favorite shows!
I can't decide on a single favorite character, but of the main cast I do like Amy, Leela, and Zoidberg, and of the extended cast Kif, Nixon's head, and robot santa.
As for favorite episodes, my unquestionable favorite was "The Sting". It was a terrific and very touching episode.

Indeed, I'm not sure how I missed this FC earlier. I'm looking forward to spreadin' the Futurama love, chatting up the new episodes, and bending girders.

QFT Icy. I don't think I would have been physically able to watch the new episodes if they recast Bender. Plus Billy West does like 17 characters for the show. How the hell would they have replaced him???

awesome! 26 new eps to start on comedy central in march. man fox really has a knack for mismanaging classic comedies. b/w this and arrested development their head of marketing/scheduling should be fired. two of the smartest comedies produced last decade. luckily they were so good that they developed huge dvd followings. last i heard they are making an arrested dev movie also. WIN
oh yeah i forgot, the almost exact same thing happened with family guy a few years back. well done fox
