I like kira for his zan, him being the one of elite VCs and being the best friend of Hisagi.

IMO, with shikai he would easily defeat Kazeshini, but unfortunally he have to rely on his kidou and sealed zan.

Pardon the double post, but this FC has been inactive for a while... It seems to me Kira is going to get to fight Kazeshini as well as his own Wabisuke. I think he'll do well. Kidou is definetly an advantage.

yeah kira will be fine, he's one of the few VC's witch i never had any doubt about if they are strong enough, but your right kido is an huge advantage cause he can rely on something else that just his zan

Kira is a character with a large amount of inner strength and wisdom. Extremely realiable and loyal. His being so humble makes him great in the sense that he doesn't bother about appearances and sees the truth more easily, understanding, but not judging it, and then he goes by what he feels is right often in the long rather than in the short term. He doesn't monologue in battle and really longs for peace. The gentleness about him allows his energy to flow more freely and would explain his great Kidou skill. It also makes him potentially one of the most masterful fighters.

I wish his lack of self-confidence will stop from restraining him though. He'd be a great leader, correction, he is a great leader, he just doesn't see it and is too willing to follow others who seem more qualified. He'd be a great captain. Here ends my "I adore Kira speech" :)

The short version is, I like the guy and would like to be his friend if he was real :)

I like him for many of the same reasons, He's fairly confident when he fights, although he's not too cocky, and i like his despair philosophy. It touched me and i think that he has one of the more sound fighting philosophies. He does struggle with confidence in other situations, and if he got over that, he could be greater than he is (Is that possible!?!?!?)

I think I'd get along well with him if he were here right now *looks around in hope*

i've just decided now that kira/wabisuke are my fave owner/zanpakuto partnership. wabisuke just perfectly embodies kira's despair. and the shikai command raise your head is just chilling.

I also forsee some Kira/Gin tension, it has to happen or I will feel cheated out of valuable Kira time. Shuuhei gets his moment with tousen, so Kira should have his with Gin. Or he could team up with Rangiku to talk to him. They both have some stuff they probably want to say to him.

You cant fully judge by the anime, cuz its filler right now... I see them as about equal. I think He's above Ikkaku in Kidou, but Ikkaku might barely beat him in Zanjutsu...

I'm not sure you have to beat them into submission. I think defeating them in a fight may help them come to their senses, but it shouldn't be the only way. See Rukia's approach, she really got through to Sode no Shirayuki. Wouldn't have taken much to get her back I think. That was when they were 'rebelling'.

For bankai you have to be a team with them, right? or am I wrong?

Ah, the way I understood it was that you had to 'subdue' them, in the rebellion arc.

But to achieve bankai you had to find a partnership and "be willing to share pain with your sword" or so.

I agree. Kira says he hates fighting, but he is SO awesome when he does. So I looked back, and it seems like Kira is one of the few people who is not dying. Yay! I hope this means he will do something important later on.

I think as far as shikai's go, in a Kira Gin match-up then Kira couls win. If you hit shinsou a few times with wabisuke, it would get really hard to use. But If Gin uses Bankai, then Kira would be in trouble. But I also like to think Gin cares ablout Kira, so it would be good to se their battle for the dialogue.
