This is Jiraiya vs. Oro from Pt. 2

They can use all their abilities and Orochimaru is healthy.

Who would win?

if he was strong enough to destroy 5 peins, he's definately strong enough to take on orochimaru. Orochimaru was strong, but jiraiya's techniques were very powerful. Top of that his sage mode was very strong.

Given that Orochimaru got pwned by Sasufag, and Jiraiya pwned 5 of the 6 Pains, Jiraiya > Orochimaru. Sage Mode FTMFW.

Toad army beats Manda.

Orochimaru, towards the end was a joke. Jiraiya's the gutsy ninja.

Jiraiya wins & kicks the crap out of Sasuke just to show who's boss.

As you can see Orochimaru is weaker than Jiraiya yet he'd be able to hold his own against him. Although they both know their weak and strong sides.

Both Jira and Oro have different fighting styles. Different fighting styles require different talents, right?

If we'd give Oro 1 week preparation time he'd win hands down, without preparation time Jira would prolly force him to retreat. I doubt that he'd be able to kill Oro even in Sage mode unless he could capture him in his ultimate Genjutsu..

^ I agree.
People forget that orochimaru has alot of forbidden jutsu, one being reanimation, which was enough to take out the third. Orochimaru never really fought with the third he was just wtf pwned at the end. While sage mode is amazing jiraiya cannot regurgatate limbs and new bodys at will. Then theres the factor of kusanji being a bastard sword, and the summons. I hate to admit it but manda would pwn gamabunta one on one.

Tough to call, If jiraiya has time to summon ma, and pa, he could win, but in the time wasted doing that Orochimaru could have done endless amount of forbidden.

Given the circumstances, I’m going to approach my decision through past battles. Orochimaru and Jiraiya once fought, but obviously not at their highest extent; Orochimaru having paralyzed arms, and Jiraiya having emotional conflicts.

As we all know, Orochimaru easily won that fight, while his arms were sealed. Jiraiya may have not gone to the full extent of his power, but I’m pretty sure he tried. With that being said, Orochimaru 100% would probably trump Jiraiya 100%, Sage Mode or not. Even though this is hard to decide, because each of them has their own fighting style, and the tides of battle can always alter.

Using another ‘battle’, we can conclude that Orochimaru can probably beat Jiraiya because of his battle with Naruto (Four Tailed Mode). They both fought that battle and Orochimaru left untouched, while Jiraiya sustained an enormous wound on his chest. And even if Orochimaru can’t beat Jiraiya, I find it highly unlikely that Jiraiya will be able to kill Orochimaru, without some new, massive, undefeatable jutsu.

Jiraya definitely wins for me,

if you're going to look at all the past fights you got to consider everything. First, the last encounter between orochimaru and Jiraya, you are right about oroch but wrong about Jiraya. By that time Jiraya had given up on oroch and was poisoned by Tsunade's assistant, so he was weak.

Second, the battle between the 4-tailed naruto and oroch was to the death, they were trying to kill each other. If my memory is correct oroch did say if the battle continued on he would be killed as he protected himself (barely) from naruto's nuke. Jiraya on one hand was simple trying to teach (train) naruto how to use the nine-tails. Jiraya was not fighting naruto, Jiraya more than likely tried to defend himself of course, but he is not going to fight his godson. So you can't compare this to the battle of naruto and oroch.

Besides, sage mode just puts ninja in a league of their own. Forbidden jutsu or not oroch barley got passed the third hokage who was way passed his prime.

@Tenkou, I think your underplaying Jiraiya a bit to much. deucezulu beat me to this but I'd like to further comment on the points he made.
Jiraiya was poisoned in that encounter, and clearly couldn't do much. This evened the playing field with Orochs arms being paralyzed, meaning one person couldn't weave signs and the other couldnt get the chakra to do anything with his signs. It took him a while to be able to build up enough just to pull out his strongest summon.
Also, I agree that 4 tailed Naruto vs Oroch. was to the death, where as Jiraiya was obviously trying to save Naruto, and get him out of that demon cloak. Oroch would not have lasted much longer and he knew that. Even though Jiraiya was seriously wounded, like I already said he wasnt trying to hurt Naruto, but still he still managed to stop Naruto...and from the looks of the chapter they show this in, he wasn't in Sage Mode, nor most likely did not have the time to activate it, where as Orochimaru was busting out some powerful jutsus and couldn't do a thing.
Something else, due to Oroch's forbidden jutsu of transfering body to body, he always seemed weaker, and is always sick and is always requiring medicine, especially toward the end of a body 'time limit.' I think this effect would have hurt Oroch's chances by a lot, and Jiraiya in Sage Mode would have been twice as difficult to deal with. Yes at first he may be just fine and healthy however it seemed that 4tailed Naruto just weaked him even after the battle, so why wouldn't a battle with Jiraiya do that as well.

Honestly I think Jiraiya would win, but thats not really my point here. My point is regardless of who wins there wouldn't be 100% trumping of either person, espcially not Jiraiya. Both would go near their limits.

That reanimation jutsu is Oro's strength and weakness. He can use multiple bodies which is a plus. The negative is that each body has a time limit, and if Kabuto is not there to provide medical assistance he is screwed royally. And Jiraiya would just be getting warmed up with his Sage mode.

Jiraiya wins hands down.

tough call, im thinking this has actually happened when they were younger, and may be shown in flashback

It has happened in the past, and is shown in flashback. http://manga.bleachexile.com/naruto-chapter-237-page-12.html

He tried stopping his best friend, much like Naruto attempted, and he lost, however there are no details of the fight past this intial conversation. He said he went on and lost but he obviously didn't die. He too was also trying to save his friend and not trying to hurt him to the point of death in this fight.
