Naruto Shippuuden Special: Tale of a Gutsy Ninja - "The Jiraiya Ninja Chronicles, will air sept. 24 and will be an hour long. [ANN]

I don't know what the hell are they planning to show regarding Jiraiya? It can be about when he meet Nagato and trained him or when Jiraiya was a kid or when Jiraiya wrote the book of Naruto? Who knows? Kishi does.

And I thought that by december we where gonna see the fight between Itachi and Sasuke, by the looks of it, it will not happen until next year. They could have done an OVA about The Kakashi Gaiden arc and this Jiraiya chronicle special (that might even turned out to be a filler) in order to compensate us for all those fillers that have been pure junk.

i dont understand how they can have the tale of the gutsy ninja when that was kinda like a big deal in the naruto/pein fight.

I think this will shows when Jiraiya wrote the book and the events that happened in the process that inspired him to write that book.

But no info about it, it can also be when Jiraiya was a kid, who knows.

Interesting, I think that would be awesome seeing when Jiraiya was fighting Hanzo and obtaining his senin title.

Jiraiya wont be dead for a good while. In Shippuuden they always do fillers when we are approaching a character death. If anything this filler arc is to focus a bit on Orochimaru before hes killed by Sasuke. Also, theres no need to focus on Sasuke, hell have about 5 arcs deticated to him later. From looking at how long he was focused on in the Manga. So, I dont think its about giving Sasuke screetime so much as Orochimaru and other characters that arent shown often, and dont get much credit.

Good find, I'll watch this. They will probably show Jiraiya vs Orochimaru and how Jiraiya met the 4th and maybe even how he trained him.

after seeing the previews after eps 126 and it looks like they are going to show how he went to training with the frog sage. there are sceens with young Jiraiya orochimaru and tsunaude and maybe its gonna show the legendary sannin fight.
