I'll add my two cents now too, although this isn't as useful as a banner or sig, just a photomanip, the result of an early brainstorming. Here is the pic, story will be displayed further below.

First of all, the original artwork isn't mine (that would be awesome rofl); if you are interested, visit Brom's gallery on the Wizards of the Coast website, or type "platinum angel" into google. I am playing MGT now and then, but the card art was always the more motivating part honestly :). The idea of Soi's bankai being some sort of über armor came long before Jakuho Raikoben was released, and I was seriously shocked by the many similarities with Tite Kubo's rendition. The whip was added later though, as I couldn't think of any special weapon back then (besides the HUGE stinger on the right hand), and afaik, Jakuho Raikoben means something like "Hornet Thunder-Whip". The only thing that I'm not really satisfied with are the wings, as they are...well, "hornetized" angel wings. They look ok, but they're also out of concept.

What do you think, how would it do as a second stage (liek Byakun's Annihilationscape)? :amused:

IIRC the onmitsukidou has a huge estate, so technically she can train with her bankai, but yeah, she doesn't like to use it. Anyway, I still think her ultimate "weapon" is her shikai+shunkou combo, but the latter one needs some improvement as well.

Btw, I'm glad that she didn't use her shunkou against Barry. This probably means, she will get another fight in the future where improved shunkou is just included. Yey!

Shunko won't help her against Barry.

I just noticed that her bankai violates the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty...would be kind of "controversial" to play around with it.

As far as shunko is concerned, we only know that it can negate attacks. Thus far, it is anti-melee only, but since it's partially kido-based, it could also block some of the projectile hado. But Barragan's hax: no.

A yes, I've heard of that. For some reason I keep thinking of that incident with Pokemon.

I guess it's fine to slash people in half and rip limbs, but you can't nuke them with a semi-Missile looking weapon.

Yeah, I know this, too. Shunkou = kidou based and we all know, that Barry's respira is a perfect counter against kidou as well.

Btw Soifon's name is in the title of the 237th animu episode, so I'm just wondering, what will she do. Her fight against Suzumebachi will be interesting imho, because 1) her zan spirit form is soooo tiny, 2) she is one of the less shinigamis, who can fight without zanpakutou...

Dunno, not all spirits turned out to be bad. Although I liked the old Zabimaru better, they are a funny pair nonetheless. Wabisuke looks full of win, just like Kazeshini (who somewhat resembles Hichigo imo) and Sode no Shirayuki is one of the most gorgeous female chars in the entire series yet (zomg heresy @!#$¤!!!1).

A real hornet would have been better anyways. Japanese hornets are sick, I saw a documentary about them...50 of them exterminated a whole bee-hive with around 10k bees in it. Holy shit.

She has no problem dissing people, and is very straight forward about it.

She needs to diss Ichigo more.. and who knows she might get more air time.

We've seen what it was like with Soi Fon inside Urahara's shop, with Urahara and company.

It would be a nice situation if she was placed in Ichigo's house, with Ichigo, Isshin, and little girls..

Throw Yoruichi in there to spark a mess regarding Ichigo's manliness.. Isshin chokes Ichigo for not being a man, Soi Fon chokes ichigo for seeing Yoruichi nude, little girls watch as Ichigo is killed.

As for the fight, IDK really, but Soifon seems to have something up her sleeve. Since it is nearly impossible to counter Suzumebachi with a sword, I think it will be a kido-heavy fight. Suspending star could do well, or some big ass area of effect kido. Or shunko for that matter, to nullify Suzumebachi's attacks, grab her and give her a headnut for jerkin' around, lol.

yep, she is awesome, considering there are only a few women in the captain class. I would have been happier if she had a bigger role in defeating Barragan. But hell, Barragan was monstrous.

Yeah, Barragan was just a beast. I honestly doubt there's all that many characters other than Hacchi who could've defeated him. Tessai, definitely, and perhaps the Ultimate Four(1, 4, 8, and 13. You know who I mean). Urahara and Isshin are possibles, along with maybe Ryuuken, but IMO much less likely.

But yeah, Soifon-taichou is awesome.

Yeah, that was one thing I was wondering about. She was fighting this ultra strong enemy and yet she did not make use of all of her abilities to the max, like her shunko. I mean, if she did that and died, which would be really sad, it wouldn't have been as bad as long as it was her who was able to defeat the strong ones...

I have a quick question, yes im a member and not spamming. I was catching up on Bleach and episode 245 with Soi Fon and Suzumebachi caught my eye. When Suzumebachi went in for the kill with the mark on Soi Fon`s cheek she activated Shunko to repel the sting, but this Shunko looked different, it looked like Yoruichi`s completed Shunko. Has Soi Fon finally managed to learn and summon Shunko in the complete form?

Don't think so. Remember: it's the same filler where the holy word "shunko" was abused countless times, and where Yoruichi had to use it against some sad zan's. And Yoruichi hasn't mastered it fully either. It is that awesome.

Out of the people cut down? Shunsui will die? I'm not so sure any of the ones cut down will die, a killing wound in Bleach has to be pretty spectacular, especially against a good guy...

Out of all the people in FKT, I think the people who have the most potential to die would be Yama-ji and Shinji. Yama because he is the sou-taicho and is very old (probably needs replacing, not that I don't like him), and Shinji because out of all the people in FKT, he was the one with the biggest reason to be there fighting Aizen, hence his death would be more dramatic.

But you have to give it to Soi fon, out of all the people fighting Aizen, she is the only one with a missing arm, and still faces Aizen head on. What a woman.
