For those who don't know this is a remake of a 1981 classic fantasy/myth film. This was a film that inspired other films and also impacted people of all ages. It can be said that this film is a masterpiece. Now can this remake take the crown form the original one? The teaser trailer of this remake looks unbelievable sick. Take a look and judge:

I have to be honest, i'm really looking forward to seeing this bitch. I loved the naff old original. This just looks so mint. I'm fairly sure the aim of the production was to set it in the same if not incredibly similar world to 300*

*Mainly based this off the dudes at the very beginning of the HD trailer in the opening post look VERY similar to the Persian Immortals from 300 (the face mask incredibly so). And the reference to the skeletons or whatever they were being toppled over the cliff.

Obviously this is the time of mythology, set (very) roughly* 1000 years before 300 but still, i can easily see how it would be set in the same continuum.

*There's still loads of debate as to when the Trojan War happened, and all this shit happened prior to that.

doubtful on taking the og's crown, but it looks ahmayzing. great cast, epic story and leterrier's competent. i'm totally hanging out for it.
