what is the consensus on this show? the little bit i have seen looks like they are working off a neat concept.

Errrrrrrrgh...As sick as I am of everything Battlestar-related, this actually seems interesting. Damn the BG universe being so persistent.

I actually wrote this yesterday, but my computer decided to throw a temper tantrum. Anyways, here it is:


I watched the pilot (It is free on itunes this week)
And, I am certainly impressed by how it was made. I've always been a fan of BSG's visuals and unique camera uses. However, I must also note, I never got into BSG. I admired it, but I didn't follow it.

Caprica is more geared towards the genre I like. It is set in the distant future (where I assume planets have been colonized), but the mechanics of the civilization are similar to the here and now. They have coffee shops and software companies.

Anyways, (finally after all my comments), I think this show has potential. It has a huge following from BSG, it is well designed, and they have a decent plot line that appears to focus as much on character development as iconic-technology vs man issues that have been a part of successful scifi works for years.

If I had a television, I would definitely watch episode 2. Hint: There was an interesting cliff hanger at the end of episode 1! (although, the cliff hanger is pretty predictable).

Also! This show does not follow the 'mystery-drama' format of most tv shows. (There is a mystery, someone solves it by the end of the episode: ie. house, castle, bones, lie to me, supernatural, reaper, etc. It is instead more plot based, with new things happening (or so I predict) every episode. ie. vampire diaries, um.. can't really think of any more...


But yeah. If you guys have a tv, watch it. Or at least watch 3 episodes to see if it gets better or more addicting.

yeah, i am actually watching the first one on sci fi (i refuse to spell it syfy -__-) now. still managed to miss the beginning. im definitely interested. im going to give it a shot. it is getting extra points for sure because of the ties with BSG.

I watched the first ep, but haven't had time since.
When I go home for spring break, should it be on my to-watch-list?

so far id say yes. im still interested. i keep trying to find the most recent ep on tv and so far no good, tho.
