Character Designer: Yoshikazu Yasuhiko

Characters:
Banarji Links - 16 year old boy who attends Anaheim Industry Technical School. Currently resides in an industrial colony named "Industrial 7". Having never experienced any disturbances or conflicts like the One Year War, war to him was fictional. After meeting a girl, he becomes involved in an event that shakes the world.

Audrey Burn - 17 year noble girl with sapphire-colored eyes. She comes to Industrial 7 with a certain purpose, but her fate changes after meeting Banarji.

Full Frontal - Mysterious man called the "2nd coming of Char". He pilots a red MS and rallies the remnants of Zeon with his high charisma. Fights against Earth Federation Forces over "the secret" to the foundations of the Universal Century. Contrary to the meaning of his name, he trifles with Banarji and company with enigmatic behavior. Age unknown.

Summary of Fukui's comments:
- novel starts at UC 0001, in which a major event occurs which forever influences the Earth Federation and Earth.
- The main story setting occurs in UC 0096.
- Based on the mystery, it reflects back on 100 years of UC.

Q: I heard it was a project in the works for a long time. What kind of drama are we in for?
A: The project was started long ago. We are finally able to announce it. It is a story within the UC timeline, but it is not First or Zeta. Amuro or Char won't appear. It is a drama built from scratch. We are not filling in a story between series. This is a new Gundam created by Mr. Fukui. Yoshikazu Yasuhiko is the character designer and Hajime Katoki is in charge of the mecha.

Q: So it will be centered around Fukui's novel for now.
A: Yes. Other kinds of exposure will come after the novel has started. It will probably be a long novel. Before we decide to animate it as a movie or TV series, we need to thoroughly investigate it. We would like the fans to enjoy the novel first.

This is really, really dangerous. If this show retcons anything in the U.C. universe it will fail, period. The Japanese love Gundam but they love the UC universe more. UC 0096 is three years after Char's Counterattack and several prominent figures (Kamille Bidane, Bright Noa, Sayla Mass, Judau) are still alive. If Zeon sprouts up again then people are going to be asking where these people are. The knock on CCA was Kamille wasnt there, what is going to be their excuse this time?

More importantly, the suits are going to be extremely interesting, since between CCA and F91, there are only two made by the federation, and they weren't that great. Basically, right after CCA, the federation went into decay. If they bust out all these suits, then that is retcon, and it will fail.

And where the hell is this Char clone coming from, what is he posing as Char or something? And there are no remnants of Zeon, they were wiped out lol. Even if there are remnants, why would they follow this guy, he is a nobody. You just cant pull a Zeon ace out of your ass, we know who they are, and so does Zeon.

This is a bad decision, the events of the UC universe are laid out, there are a lot of things they could have done, but they chose the worst place to insert a series. That and since we know they dont exist in f91, that means that they are ALL going to die. The only way this could work is if they bring in those federation characters that are still alive, but like I said, there is NO ONE to fight -_____-

the Gundam series cant die, its just certain shows that fail. G Gundam, Gundam X, Gundam Seed Destiny, Gundam 0080, Gundam Double Zeta, these are all horrible shows but for all of them there is a better series to cancel out each. Gundam is like Final Fantasy in Japan, its immortal lol.

see i liked Seed destiny alot, as much as Seed :amused: and yeh they bring out a Gundam series and its "gonna" be watched no matter if its so badly done and story sucks

Fukui, who cares about Fukui, its like them making a Star Wars movie right after the last one to show what happened to Luke, except George Lucas has NOTHING to do with it.

The fact that u like destiny merely means Aya has corrupted you, go watch the original gundams and u will see why destiny sucks so much.

haha well, you can blame Aya for Corrupting my Fragile mind, but the first gundam Series i ever watched was Wing, Due to it being the only one aired on TV in England and that was when i was 12 or something.. only when started t download Animes i got around to watching the others but still i liked Destiny :amused:

That's disturbing, that unicorn gundam looks too much like a white rip-off version of super robot wars altesien reise. I hope for the future of bandai-gundam, this really is a rumour. gundam apperently copied the hucky's (huckbeins mk II and III) and they got away with it, but coping one of the best like the altesien will result in serious problems. If they have to copy anything it should be the weissweitter and excellen browning and perhaps lamia too :blush
