oh yeh, i was just going to write about this today

was going to download ep 120 and then this one popup came with virus, activex, and i privately hate my av, so it was disablet, i got infected, i did close msn before it did spread so no harm there, good for me, i got my HD in 3 parts, so i got 2 windows installations, |normal use,| data store,| repair, fix, other.|

after some hours, becuase it did fuck up some stuff, i was 100% sure clean, and could repair my windows.

i accept and understand the use of popups, but still, if you get them from a big company, tell them to clean it.

here is some info

Inficeret: trojansk program Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Small.cyn C:\WINDOWS\system32\svch8xm.dll 4 KB
Inficeret: trojansk program Backdoor.Win32.Hupigon.aqy winlogon.exe\svch8xm.dll 20 KB

Inficeret: trojansk program Trojan-Spy.Win32.Bancos.aam c:\windows\system32\ntos.exe 277 KB

they enter it self into your processes, makes it unable to delete while in windows.

same for this
Fil c:\windows\comdlg64.dll/PE_Patch.UPX/UPX

it creates a whole folder
Fil c:\windows\activexexe\

it got 3 files, you can just delete this

creates some files on your desktop. d # # = a number and one with c, crist.exe i think

also a file in the C rod, named C#####.n?? wassn't logged # = numbers ? = ?

then the spyware... i hope that got logged

<SW NAME = "H@tKeysH@@k">
<FILE NAME = "C:\WINDOWS\system32\H@tKeysH@@k.DLL"/>
<FILE RES = "C:\WINDOWS\system32\H@tKeysH@@k.DLL Successfully ReMoved"/>
</SW>
<SW NAME = "PC Super Spy">
<FILE NAME = "C:\WINDOWS\system32\SSPng.dll"/>
<FILE RES = "C:\WINDOWS\system32\SSPng.dll Successfully ReMoved"/>

and one with s, as i dont quite know, may be it this
<SW NAME = "Blubster">
<REGKEYFOUND NAME = "typelib\{57b18084-fccf-4d2c-968b-43a345dc13b0}\1.0\helpdir"/>
<REGKEY NAME = "Blubster typelib\{57b18084-fccf-4d2c-968b-43a345dc13b0}\1.0\helpdir"/>

and popcorn.net

I use Firefox and it does rock, and I haven't really had any problems, although I do also have an effective virus blocker... and it picked up a trojan once. So... x_x

But even though you people should use effective popup blockers and virus protectors, that doesn't excuse BE for putting viruses in popups.

in my openion IE is ok, because it blocks some stuff as FF dossn't, you with FF go check www.serials.ws, , if you havnt got java sercuity updated in it, you would more like the IE. but, ff is likely better to webhacking, hey remeber, this does not mean i go around and hack webpages,

i was able to get the http this time. ctrl+alt+delete made me avoid the shit

yeh, it's good, i would have it active all the time, if it didnt have to make my computer hardware bip :wierd: (wtf) every time it finds anything it dont like..., it's anoying to allow stuff all the time, cause some of them, i woud not allow to have connection all the time, cause this would make my computer more wurnable to hackers... so what do i do, i got it installed, but i close it at the start, saves ram, and saves my ears for anoying beeps, hehe. but it's verry great

I allow the pop ups on BE and i've never had any viruses from it. Unless Norton is stopping them but not telling me lol...

i've got 1 virus b.c i wante d to see if the retards who bitch about this were actually downloading the files that sometimes show up from ANY popup on any site and letme tell you that is how you get them...if you download the .exe files that RARELY show up you will get a virus

Unfortunately not all .exe files have to be manually executed. Depending on your security settings, some will be able to sneak in. Obviously IE users like myself are at more of a risk, but your best bet is just to run some scans maybe once a week or so.

However, sometimes you can get spyware, among other things, simply by visiting a site. Some of the pop-ups on this site are pretty bad in that they load the page and won't let you close it until it fully loads, making you susceptible. As of yet, though, I haven't noticed any particularly viscious malware, so as long as your security is up-to-date, you should be fine.

Although I think everyone would love for every site in the world to have virus- and malware-free pop-ups, it's simply impossible. If you need a good anti-virus program, try AVG anti-spyware; it's effective and free.

Sorry if I went off-topic with this... just tryin' to help out. =)

If you have a good antivirus program like AVG or Norton, it won't matter if there are viruses they won't do anything to you.

Or of course you can have a mac. I own my first Mac right now and all the stuff I used to have to worry about with PCs just doesn't happen anymore. I had to force quit a program only once in the year I've had my mac. and viruses don't exist :)

Mac sucks ass. Fucking hard to move the mouse and shit. I'd rather take a virus infested computer than a fucking mac.

That might be true...but have you seen those mac vs regular computer ads on TV...they are hilarious...lol

I guess thats one good thing about mac...they produce half decent ads...lol

all those ads do is promote people to make virus for macs

Hahaha, good point...

Its like that car ad where they tell you that the car comes with the feature of detecting heart beats...so that you can tell an intruder is in the car before you go in...

It almost like they are daring the crooks to come up with a way to get around that...
