I like Nnoitora even more than I already did. It wasn't cool that he attacked Grimm, but he is pretty much a badass. I love how his tatoo is on his tounge. Also, I thought it was badass how he asked Ichigo his name and told him he'd remember it until Ichigo died, then, at the end of the chapter, he says, "By the way, what was your name again?" and attacks. Sheer badassery.

Well, some people have been saying he is a coward for attacking Nell from behind and using Nell as a shield to block Ichigo's attack. To those people, I say, HE IS THE FIFTH ESPADA. He has the power to back up any threats he's made. I mean, come on, Ichigo can't even cut him with his bankai, even after his massive power-up. He is an oppurtunist, a cunning opponent, but not a coward.

Like I said, he's cunning and an oppurtunist. And you are right, that is much more realistic than most character's whole 'honor among warriors' approach to combat. If you are actually fighting, the other guy ain't gonna lay off just cause you're down.

That's right! Noitora knows exactly what he's doing--why give your opponent the chance to beat you if you're not willing to accept that outcome? Noitora isn't interested in fighting for the sake of fighting, he wants to win.
The thing that bothered me the most about the Grimmjow-Ichigo fight was that GJ had Orihime heal Ichigo so he could fight him at full strength but then he got all whiney when it seemed like Ichigo would win. If you want an even fight, then you have to expect the possibility that your opponent will beat you. Noitora doesn't care about an even fight though; the only thing that seems to matter to him is that he wins, which is definitely a more realistic approach to a fight. To the victor go the spoils, after all.

I was asking about p18 because it potentially reveals more about Noitora's character. At first I thought that he was just turning Ichigo over in order to deliver a killing blow. That would fit with the above: having beaten Ichigo--an opponent on the same level as him, being capable of defeating the espada #6--he would finish the job and could claim that he killed the most powerful of the attackers.
But Ichigo's wrist seems turned at an odd angle and he seems to be in pain in the next image, so then I thought that maybe Noitora broke his wrist. Doing something like that would push him to a whole new level: I defeated you and I could kill you now but instead I'm going to slowly break you apart. That changes him from an opportunistic and realistic fighter into a true sadist. Which is fine by me--after all, he's a villain, and so far Bleach doesn't have any characters who are truly evil in evey sense (even Aizen has higher philosophical goals). If Noitora was actually breaking Ichigo's wrist, then it pretty much makes him the first character who doesn't have alternate personal or idealistic motives for doing what he does. He's just doing it because he can and because he enjoys it, which makes him the first "bad guy" in Bleach to be a truly bad guy.

Anyhow, whether the wrist thing happens to be the case or not, Noitora still rocks for being one of the most individual and interesting personalities in Bleach!

I knew that he was somehow kind of lizard or snake because of his teeth , his eyes and his smile ...you can see how hes so similar to lizard , so his release is def going to be a big gaint cobra or a lizard .

Well, despite the fact that I didn't like the latest chapter at all, Noitora once again managed to get the coolest part, since the tongue-cero was awesome! In one of the panels it looks like Ichgo's wrist and hand are bleeding a lot too, so it seems more likely that Noitora did indeed break/crush his wrist in the previous chapter, so that's cool.

Somewhere else somebody else mentioned that in the pages after Nell cuts Noitora he's not bleeding anymore. Right now, I'm guessing this was just an oversight, but it could be an indicator of Noitora's powers. Could he have some sort of super regeneration maybe? He says that nobody can break his body, so maybe he just heals all damage so fast that you would have to destroy him all in one go in order to overcome it?

I feel like I'm clutching at straws here, but Noitora is about the only good thing that this arc has going at the moment.... :sad:

Haha! Looks like all the Nell fans may have spoken too soon!

Noitora takes not one but two ceros and comes out of it with minimal damage. Compare it to Luppi, who got blown to bits by GJ's cero and the fact that GJ took massive damage from Shinji's cero (even after using his own to block part of the attack!) and it's starting to show why Noitora said that nobody could break his body. Plus, is it just me or is the cut that Nell inflicted on his chest in the last chapter gone?

This little exchange totally explains why Noitora would hit Nell from behind too: whether she's stronger or weaker than him overall doesn't matter--she's obviously faster than him while he's probably stronger and tougher than her. Of course the best way to take someone out who can normally dodge all of your attacks is to just hit them from behind (or in their sleep :blink: ). After all, they can't dodge the attack if they don't know it's coming!

Juliano Every character has positive and Negative characteristic in their personality . for example you may find sexy character but dump , or strong but idiot . so Noi is like any other character he is cool and strong but he fight the people when they are in bad position to take advantage . so if Noi has something bad in his characteristic that deosnt mean i have to hate him ! for example Renji he is cool and strong but after SS arc he become somehow idiot lol and still like him .

I'm well aware of that, Noi. Very sorry for the trouble, and I was more or less waiting for an anti-club to form, for a while. He was a decent character from the beginning of his fight with Ichigo, but he dropped off afterwards. Disliking a character just because they fight with another one isn't something I would do. Kubo really made him out to be a horrible character in the end. Character development can cause many changes in the character overall.

Extremely sorry for the trouble I caused. I don't want any hard feelings, or a bad taste left in anyone's mouth because of this. Thanks.

People don't realize it, but Noitora is the best thing going in Bleach right now. For those of us who like a badass and totally evil villain, he's great and gives us something to talk about and look forward to. For those who hate a backstabbing braggart it gives them something to talk about and look forward to someone else defeating him. Heck, all those anti-Noitora people should actually be in this fc thanking Noitora that he's giving them something in this otherwise boring arc to get excited about! ;) :P


I propose a top 10 best things about Noitora topic:

10. Eye patch. He's like the pirate of Hueco Mundo.

9. taking out GJ (I like GJ, but he was getting dangerously close to whining at the end of his fight with ichigo, so I'm glad somebody shut him up before he could act stupid!)

8. taking out Chad (a 1-hit takedown gets respect anywhere)

7. Having Tesla jump Orihime (a smooth and very smart move. It shows how much smarter Noitora is than some of the other arrancar)

6. attacking Ichigo while he's down (the man knows an advantage when he sees one. That isn't bastardly, it's smart. Besides, to expect everyone to fight in top shape is just silly.)

5. Most kick-ass looking zanpaktuo ever. (no explanation needed)

4. taking out nell back in the day (I'll admit that I find Nell annoying and stupid. Also, I think in some of the pictures her breasts are oddly shapen. Not that that is actually relevant to anything; I'm just throwing it out there. Anyhow, I hope Noitora takes her out again.)

4. (again 'cause it's a tie) wailing on Tesla for leaving Orihime (bad minion!)
