Searching Options, and How They are Sadly Limited

So, having been moved by rewatching my favorite scene from any anime ever, the idea came to me that I should start an X FC.

Now, being the responsible forum member that I am, of course I decided to search for "X FC" before I would jump ahead and start the thing. However, in the process of searching, I came across a rather disturbing problem.

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : 'X, FC,'" the computer cheerfully informed me after I attempted my search. Perturbed and annoyed, I used the common Internet sense I have gleaned from Google and enclosed my query within double quotes ("", for those who don't know what I'm talking about). And much to my chagrin... I was greeted with the same message.

So I got to thinking--why aren't there searching options on BE? And I mean searching options relating to the searcher's query, not all of this fancyfangled stuff about forums and only searching posts and whatnot.

On this forum, there is a disturbing lack of options such as "search all terms," and the like. Short of tediously browsing through the entire FC forum, how am I going to know if there is an X FC already (Is there one, by the way?) if I'm unable to search for it? I am really quite disturbed by this quandary.

wow, maybe u should add an "lol" at the very end to show that ur not acting like a bitch? Dyne hates that u know. And no, there aint an X FC, it took like 1 minute to browse the FC's. Lazy.

lol...Yuzuki...there isn't any X FC like Vic said, you can go ahead and make one if you so desire...

Uhmm...hm...I know there was an anime called X based off of the manga x/1999 by clamp, and that there's already a clamp fc....but if that's not what you're talking about then just ignore me. ^^;

Yeah, that's the X I'm talking about (and technically, X/1999 is only the name that Viz gave the translated version, it was originally just called X)... I was considering making an FC dedicated only to that particular series, but are you suggesting that I just join the CLAMP FC, which encompasses that work as well as all their other ones, instead of making a separate FC specifically for X?

You can create an X FC, but then more people might take that as an ok to create FCs for every other series by clamp, and then that'll just get repetitive.

lol, that's a good point, Fuyu. I guess I'll just join your FC. I've been meaning to join it anyway. ;)

And Vic... yes, I have, lol. But what I like is X, Tokyo Babylon, Tsubasa--the good stuff, not Chobits and CCS. Give me some credit there. -_-
