*sigh* I know I might get some hate for making this thread but I thought someone had to do it...it is a Gundam series regardless of your feelings towards it, though I figure most true fans would consider this series utter madness (a euphemism)...and not even worth posting on...however the thought ran through my mind recently and thought why not post a thread on it...

I would like to hear you views on it...whats your opinion of the series...???

For the most part I would have to agree with yah Vic...however after watching the first episode I sort isolated this series in my mind as a totally different addition to the series...If I were to compare this to others it would have failed miserably and beyond...

It was too Dragon Ball Z for Gundam...thank God there isn't a spin off series or another series with the same background...one was more than enough...believe it...

g gundam was so bad i think it gave me cancer...and i never watched more than 30 min...cumulatively as i channel surfed no less.

if it weren't for the sd gundam show this would be hands down the worst gundam ever. its an atrocity...anyone who likes it should be shot.

Being a Dragon Ball fan I am, G Gundam was a great series for me. Sure I'm all about the U.C. stories but it combined my two favorite things, Dragon Ball and Gundam, and pulled it off in a tolerable manner, IMO.

The only thing I would give G Gundam is that it was different. You can't tell me that the whole synopsis of gundam dosen't get a little dull once in awhile (same story over and over). I didn't love the show but found it a break from the norm and I like it because it was different. Suit design that's another matter....some of them were....highly questionable....

Yeah, I know this was on the first page, but I had to make the note, that you failed in this post, beaucse that was the diring the last epiosde, and he had the burning gundam or whatever and it was thta burning finger thing.

Anywho. I don't think it was complete shit. I liked it, but then again I haven;t watched it in a good 4,5, or 6 years(I don't remember). Though, Wing was much much much better. And the thing he said everytime he used the burning finger just sounded perverted and wrong. And painful at that.

What really amused me was seeing the Nothung-model Mark Drei in FAFNER use a move nearly identical to the Shining Finger.

Anyway, G Gundam...I thought it was kinda funny. Some of the mech, like Maxter/Mermaid/etc... were really fuckin' stupid, but some of 'em were pretty neat. I rather liked seeing Domon faceplant the Master Gundam at one point...that thing was stupid as all hell.
And Nobel Gundam was just too damn funny not to mention.

But the G Gundam dub = EPIC FAIL.

It was basically a series based on the fact that war was starting to take its tool on the earth. So to end the war the colonies came up with a Gundam fight contest. The main character was out for revenge the whole series and a lot of crap happens (Not going to spoil it for anyone that is watching it). It's not the best series in the world but one that you can sit down and watch when you have nothing better to watch.

I do recall the main character (whats-his-name) catching all those bullets in the first episode, that seemed promising. Then his Gundam did the shining finger thing and I changed the channel.
