Well, don't know if somebody else posted this before, but here i go, it seems that apart of Gundam UC, next october will be released Gundam 00, here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9cdZK03yIA) the teaser trailer, and the only thing i found (in english) about the story is that "The series will be set in 2307 AD, with initially four pilots termed Gundam Meisters"

"A very short promo appeared after today's episode of TBS/MBS' "Toward The Terra" announcing a new Gundam series. Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (Double Oh) is set to air at 6pm on Oct 2007. The official site is up providing a streaming promo.

Known details are:
Setting - 2307 AD ("seireki", Japanese for "anno domini")
Characters - 4 Gundam Meisters, who pilot the mobile weapons.
Factions - Solestal Beings (not real sure on the English name right now), a private militia group whose purpose is to eradicate wars.
Tagline at the end of the commercial - "Rebirth begins through destruction"

Rumors about the series have been going around Japanese message boards for some time, especially after Sunrise registered several Gundam00 domains. A brand new Universe, with Seiji Mizushima as the director. Hopefully this will turn out better than what Fukuda did. The one thing we are fortunate is that Mizushima is not going to be scared of killing characters.

The story will take place in 2307 AD of our modern calendar system—which is different from the fictional Universal Century calendar of the first Mobile Suit Gundam series, the Cosmic Era calendar of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed, and the four other previously used calendar systems. It will be the first time a Gundam animated project officially takes place in our modern calendar system. (There were two apparent uses of AD dates in the first Mobile Suit Gundam series and Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam series, but both dates were edited out of the later movie compilations of those series.)

The main characters will be four Gundam Meister mobile weapon pilots in Solestal Being, "a private military organization bent on eradicating war." The Solestal Being intend to use Gundams to enforce its goal. The teaser trailer ends with the phrase, "Rebirth begins through destruction." Japanese fans have noted the similarity of the character designs with the work of Yun Kouga (Loveless), although Sunrise has not confirmed her involvement. I'm a bit surprised to see the staff list. Especially the character design person.

Just as a background, characters in the Seed series were designed by Hirai Hisashi, whose characters are, and has been, ALWAYS male orientated. It was a surprise to many that Seed and Seed-D attracted such large female audience.

As for Gundam 00... when I first saw the character designer's name, it came as a huge shock to me... It's going to be Kouga Yun.

The very same Kouga Yun that's been a Shounen Ai mangaka (Boy's love, though light BL ones) for the past 20 years. The very same Kouga Yun that's been drawing BL Doujinshi's when she was in school... The very same Kouga Yun that's best known for Loveless, a light BL manga series that's made into animation.

Sunrise seems to be trying to get a even bigger share of female viewers.

its not the most popular gundam series, exhibt A: Char. when every the do polls on the most popular anime characters in japan. char has ALWAYS been in the top 3 and quatro begina (one of char's aliases) is always in the top 5...if they combined them (which i don't know why they don't) char would have been the most popular character in japan literally everytime since 1979. THAT'S popular, seed is "popular" now because its the most recent.

just like naruto is voted the most popular series in japan right now. not because its the best or most well liked its just the recent hit. in 5 years naruto won't even make the list, same with seed.

The Cyclops System used in Alaska was, basically, a huge array of extremely powerful microwave emitters, which uses an extremely rapid and intense increase in temperature to vaporize all liquids within the blast radius - such as the water that makes up 60% of a human body. The intense temperature increase also causes the detonation of propellant and ammunition, resulting in the explosion of vehicles, aircraft and mobile suits.

Exia Gundam is close range consisting of blades and such.

Only think I hope for is that they don't pull of a "Seed Battle stile" in the series. That means posing and repetitive combat every show. So far only thing I have noticed is that Gundam Kyrios launches like Gundam Strike from Seed.

Right after it takes off from the ship the camera angel and the way it leases is just like the way the Strike does it. Difference is its in jet mode and it doesn't have the phase shift. You can also compare it to the way the Strike Freedom launches same camera angel.

Yeah but thats cuz the catapult launch has about always been like that, well more typically the inside-tube view where you first see the gundam from behind. The 1st Gundam launched like that from White Base, Argama also launches MS like that (though its catapult is exterior), and then the albion, then Ra Calium, Archangel, etc. etc. you can't really call it "strike"s way of launching.

GN-003 KYRIOS, the personal machine of apparent emo-kid Allelujah Haptism, is a transforming type armed with its GN Shield and GN Beam SMG. Other than that, I have no idea, except it can reportedly use a variety of optional armament "mission packs" - such as the enormous missile launching "box" it was equipped with in the first few previews

The very effeminate Tieria Erde pilots GN-005 VIRTUE, which is obviously a long-range, heavy artillery unit. Unusually, it has a GN Field Barrier, which I suppose is some form of energy shield. Its armaments are quite simply its GN Bazooka and GN Cannon - not sure which, but one is the enormous boomstick it used on that one Hellion in Ep1, the other is the pair of monstrously large double-barreled weapons on its shoulders.

(NOTE: One figure I saw a photo of displayed both the Dynames and Virtue with a GN Beam Saber - no idea where those are or if they're even equipped on Virtue, but on Dynames they're presumably mounted to the side of the ass-thrusters)

Apparently, the GN particles are the new Minovsky particles/Gundanium/N-Jammers/etc. seeing as the communication went out when Exia came along. It seems they will be getting a great advantage from it though, as the "rest" doesn't seem prepared for the interference unlike in the UC where Minovsky particles are common warfare knowledge.

Well, Gundam has mostly been transformed into a show that stops wars and I think with pacifism at the beginning, they can change the characters through the story to mature their ideals and opinions. If they started out as non-pacifists, I do not think the show can develop the characters in a good way. At least the show has already pointed out the hypocrisy of the Celestial Beings, so I guess anime team at least realized that part. As for the Mobile Suits, after so many series I do not think they can come up with more original stuff. The designs are hitting walls while still maintaining the GUNDAM aspect.

Setsuna held his own till.........Teira showed up. Setsuna/Teira=dynamic duo. Teira OWNED the thrones then got OWNED by Veda just as he was about to kill them. Finally got to see what Nadleeh can do.

Saw the raw for ep 20. HRL built more than 5 GN units. I'm not going to call them gundams. No way. But they were all mass production types. Trinity got PWNED big time. Graham refused to equip his flag with a GN drive. Rather stupid, but i hope that he at least equips his flag with several GN sabres. Flag sabres cant cut anything at all. To the episode, yeah the new mobile suits are using the same drives as the thrones basically. Their knock off drives just like the thrones. Thrones got owned by Sergei and Soma who are obviously superior pilots to begin with. One thing seems to be true about the Thrones, their not good really as far as piloting skills goes from what i seen.

Ribbons is a product of veda(obviously). Likely will kill Alejandro.

1. Kudos to Graham for turning down a GN-X. Those things are fugly. What I'd love to see is Graham take down one of the Thrones, then Billy cannibalize it and install its GNT-Drive and beam weapons on Graham's OverFlag. That'd just be awesome.

actually, all gn equiped mobile suits can fight underwater. All gn weapons work in water. Like when Exia used his beam daggers the destroy the underwater mobile armour. Lockon cant die. I think, his injury was just to build up the character and maybe the relationship with feldt. If he died, its going to pose lots of problems, since gundams usually work in pairs or 4s...

as for fights underwater, maybe they should build something like abyss gundam from seed destiny. That would be cool. but still, i hope that in the next series, they build new models for the meisters. and i wonder if saji will start doing crazy things...

Okay, look. I'm going to indulge you, but really, start using your head. First off, Dynames wasn't even using it's standard beam rifle; it was using a special version hooked into immobile equipment that needed 20 seconds to charge between shots. Secondly, they are 10,000km up (yes, I was incorrect, 300 km was an estimate; 10,000km is what the tour guide says in the episode, but the falling block was lower because it was *falling*); the moon is over 300,000km away from the Earth. It did *not* nearly reach the moon. The episode didn't even *show* it nearly reaching the moon, so really... I have no idea where you're getting this idea from.

Saji will most likely take up his sisters work. It's my thought of the matter. Even if he wanted to get even for his sister and girl friend his got no training, past present, or even any skill in fighting anyways. No chance he goes to be a bad guy after the gundams. Quite simply, YES. You should check it out immediately.

Gundam 00 is brilliant, really... Especially with these recent episodes. Personally, this is actually my first Gundam series that I've watched and I'm greatly anticipating each new episode at the moment, moreso than any other anime that's airing. (Although I started watching the older series' because of G00 being so awesome) So much is happening right now (We're coming to the end of this run of Gundam - 2 or 3 eps to go I think, then we've got to wait ages for the continuation), I'd say it's easily one of the best shows of the year. At least when this season is over we get Geass back on.

Also, watch it in HD 'cause it looks stunning.

Anyways with Mizushima involved, dont hold your breath on Lockon coming back. Its possible to have him coming back but its very slim. This aint Seed, Mizushima has made it clear, that he wanted to separate this series from the other Gundam shows and thus far he's done just that(their will always be some similarities tho). Boring? What drugs are you on? I found this to be one of the better episodes of the series. Not to mention a huge plot twist that no one saw coming (until the last 5-10 minutes of the show. There might be a small chance that they will bring him back but thats a unknown at the moment. But overall the episode was great it was worth watching 6 times over.

.... during the battle 11 gundams where destroyed. 15 remain, then lockon destroyed 2 transports. if say the remaning troops were divided equaly in the trasnports, they lost 10 gundams, then they lost another when that dude from AEU charged lockon. now the division probably wasnt all that equal, probably 1 transports. so we know at the very most they have 14, but they probably have far less.

If you look at the end of ep 23 after the next ep preview (With the audio), you know, the sponsors part, you can see that he's got into a mobile suit (One of the gundam copies I think), possibly having a gun pointed at him by Kyrios - although he seems to make no reaction to this which indicates he just wants a talk. (Not sure, but it seems like that from the way the 2 scenes are straight after each other) Perhaps he's going to try and get in contact with CB and fuck the situation up even more. I could be completely wrong, of course. Meh. What's for sure though is he's in a suit now.

Just watched epi 24 live... Ptolemy got destroyed.. or at least..the bridge got destroyed. the guy driving ptolemy, and chris died as well.. something happedned to the doctor. I'm not sure.. Nadleeh badly damaged and close to destruction..lots of sparks in the cockpit..Patrick died...pwned by Tieria..Alejandro was flying some weird golden mobile armour with a freaking powerful cannon and gn field. Last part shows Combat container attempting to break through the golden MA's GN field and it got destroyed at the last part. I didnt manage to c what happened to the macho guy. But Exia is engaging the golden MA next epi..

Lots of people died in the past few epi. Ptolemy lost quite a few crew members, and overall, they are all not in a position to continue fighting. So i wonder what they will do the next epi, which is the final for the season i believe.

yeah they normally do releasing till 50. Wiki has them as 2 seasons, my English to Japanese translation sucks so i dunno if its officially dubbed as "Season 2". Code Geass is about to replace Gundam 00's time slot after next week's episode and Gundam 00 will return in october(im pissed, but Geass is a great substitute). Ive read this was done because they wanted to boost DVD sales and stuff.

I will say that this gundam series will go down as one of the best ones. So much action, drama, and unexpected things happening in each episode GOD. It ticks me off that I must wait till October before finishing this story. It's just a vast improvement over the other Gundams.

It is likely the remaining meisters will not die. Killing off too many meisters would make fans like us go on strike.. Besides, look on the bright side, if they take a break until October, at least we can be assured the storyline would not be screwed up like Seed Destiny. One person I hope will die next episode is Alejandro. He's screwing up Celestial Being too badly.

By the way, in epi 24, sergei mentioned the loss of the throne unit. Does this mean Ali is dead? Somehow, with some deaths, they are quite vague with it. Like patrick. He may or may not have died. Zwei was destroyed cockpit down, but its hard to make out if the cockpit was busted along with the lower body.

as for ali al sarches, his gundam was beat pretty badly so he is dead, unless theres a plot kai intervention.

Ali is totally not dead. Setsuna still has to "defeat" him for killing Lock-on. He's got plot armor keeping him safe up until probably the end of season two by my estimations... when Setsuna will finally be able to beat him and get his revenge.

I'm hoping they keep the typical anime cliche twists to a minimum. I can deal with Ali still being alive, but if they just start bringing back all the main characters they previously killed off I'll be extremely disappointed. This series has the potential to be one of the best Gundam series if they just don't mess up the final 25 episodes.

Hey guys. Where did you read about Ali being confirmed for the second season? I want him to be dead, it'd be unfair for Lockon if he were alive. I want Lockon to reappear but it seems unlikely because there wasn't anything to protect him from the explosion...:sad: They did kill a lot of secondary characters and it might not be over yet, we'll have to wait until the final episode is released!

Well, considering that of the Fab Four, the only one left who's currently able to engage in combat is Setsuna and the Exia, and that in addition to Sergei and Soma's GN-Xs there's also Corner and his "Bling Varo" to contend with(Not that he's a good pilot), plus the added wild card of just where the fuck Ribbons has gone.
Things ain't looking good for Setsuna, even with Graham still on Earth.

As expected Setsuna owned The Golden Hacker, pretty sweet 7 sword like move Exia pulled off. Lasse might have bit the dust tho.:sad: Slicing and dicing:amused:. The season 2 spoiler was:amazed:. Louise with Teiria(not as a couple but did she join CB?). Alle/Halle fought well and made some reference to someone named Mari i believe when he saw soma. From the looks of it she hasnt talked to Saiji in a while. Also......OMG 00 Gundam makes an appearance. Looks like Wang may have took a more dominate roll in CB. Ali is back of course and Patrick made it looks like(knew he wasnt dead:amused:). Graham looks to be wearing a mask as a result of the fight with Setsuna. Setsuna's whereabouts arent clear, along with what happened to alle/halle. They didnt show Felt or Sumeragi either in the time skip

OH DAMN!!! Most awesome ep yet. And the 00 Gundam looks awesome, from the brief preview we get of it.
My one gripe is that seemingly pointless Exia/Flag match. Too rushed, though it was still epically awesome despite its briefness and lack of a point other than simply to have Graham there.
Oh, and that mask(in the epilogue) looks like crap. Like a mix of Jason and Wodan Ymir.
OTOH, I LOVE the normal suits that Nena, Wang Liu Mei and Hong Long are wearing.
That MS Alejandro piloted was sort of neat, too, even though the MA was epically stupid.

Oh, and much lolz at Setsuna usingLockon's catchphrase that one time.
And Allelujah looks majorly badass with his hair swept back. Like Olba Frost, except as an Epically Awesome Badass.

It was there all along. Most likely, 0 gundam and a few others were the very first gundams with a working gn drive, could be the 1st generation gundams. It is likely they were just used for tests, since celestial being made its debut with exia and co.. 0 gundam looks really crappy. i wonder how people can be amazed by it. even strike from seed looked lots better. so far, we know that 00 gundam will be using exia's gn drive, but as for the pilot and specs, too bad we don't know anything.

There's no way Setsuna's dead, all we saw was him wounded floating above the Earth. Graham made it through alive with almost exactly the same level of damage so surely Setsuna could've as well. Just because we didn't see him in the epilogue doesn't mean he died. There were plenty other characters who survived but weren't shown in the end. (Allelujah is bound to be alive due to that Marie/Soma Peries stuff, Sumeragi, Felt, etc.)

The only truly main character who died was Lockon.
