The odd pregnant teenager, 'Juno'
Posted 04-30-2008 at 08:46 PM by Rollingstar
I finally got the chance to settle down and watch this movie.
In the beginning of the movie, I thought.. okay it starts off alright for the most part.. with discussing some events that lead up to her 'unplanned pregnancy'.
Juno Mcgail.. (sorry I don't care if I spelled it wrong), is such an odd ball.. I've never met a chick like that, maybe that's what makes her special.. since she didn't really act like most young women I've known to react when they discover that they're pregnant before they hit age 20, whether with their significant other or not.
Her emotion or shock did not show at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw no utter shock, fear, slight depression(which some do feel amoung the moment of realization).
She acted like, nothing has changed, this doesn't not affect her life what so ever.
So, was she really a teenager with a heart? Some of you may argue with me, but I know what I'm talking about..
Juno already made up her mind as soon as she found out she was indeed pregnant. You can say it was maturity, because she realized right away that she was a young women, with-child, and was not ready to place another before herself. Part of growing up is knowing what you should do, or the right thing you should be doing. For yourself, and a person who is not at fault for another's thoughtless behavior.
Any thoughts? Or anything you might like to add.. even if you liked or hated the movie.. I'd like to know what you think, and I dare you to tell me that I don't know what she was feeling at the time, I love a good laugh.

I loved Juno, it was really funny. A lil creeped out when the dad started hitting on her though. Oops, that was kind of a spoiler, no one who hasn't seen the movie read that...

lol.. yea it was creepy, but Juno didn't understand that she wasn't supposed to be going over to the house with the intention of hanging out with the married man.. she got the point after he told her what he was planning on doing.. >_> meh, who cares if that haven't seen it, they shouldn't be reading this then =)

I thought it was a great movie, i really enjoyed it. On a completely unrelated note Ellen Paige is the best looking actress in years ^^
Funny movie, after you get over the annoying slang they use for the first 20minutes. One of the best films this year I thought. |
