Gantz and Claymore have been on my "to read list" forever. i just don't wanna start another long running series until one actually ends satisfactorily. i don't need another hellsing class disappointment. everyone else recommends them, so try them out too.

2 things: 1) I would definately recomend Claymore for the other readers, though the auther only releases it monthly and has plans to stretch it out into 30 volumes or so. Meaning the series won't be finished for a couple years most likely (if it does actually get finished)
2) What exactly is Z Gundam? That one doesn't ring a bell (though I haven't kept in touch with most Gundam stuff, so it doesn't surprise me) |

Like my friend said, Cowboy Bebop is a really unique anime whilst Samurai Champloo is very cinematic. Both were godly anime specially with Steven Blum's dub.
Since I'm really not much of a fan of mangas, I think Tenjou Tenge is the only one worth reading right now. The translator ain't helping tho =.= And Yu Yu Hakusho was awesome but I haven't seen any of the movies. Are you talking about "Poltergeist Report"? I might check that out. |

yeah poltergeist report is the 2nd one...biggest dragon of the darkness flame hiei ever did is in that movie.
few other cool things like some of kuramas past. |
