history of a poor golfer pt.1

i recently started playing golf,i'm not very good but my hockey backround has helped out.

on average i can shoot about 2 over par per hole,pretty bad.

i can not hit a driver for anything,if i could i would have a chance to shoot under par.
i'm crazy good with my iron i can drive my 5-iron on average about 180,but ive been able to drive about 200 on my good days,my longest drive [with the 5-iron] has been 225,if i just teed off with my irons i could shoot par but i'm determined to be able to use my driver.

if u dont count my driver[i dont] i only use a 5-iron,7-iron,9-iron and putter,i occasionally use a 2-iron if i'm stuck in some trees and need to just drive it low.

my grandpa said a famous golfer[i forget who] once held up his 2-iron in the rain,when asked why he replied"not even god could hit a 2-iron"

i had rarely used a 2 but when i did i was driving it 200 easy,so i thought,hey,lets tee off with the 2,it did not work out.

the way irons work is the lower tge number,the farther you can hit with it,and considering the lowest i can hit with is a 5 im in trouble.

but last time out a miracle happened,i play at a 9-hole course,and i had 2 firsts.my 1st birdie and my first par round,so that makes all the work worth while.
