Movie Updates 2009-2011

Upcoming Movies
Summary: A Disney Movie that doesn't look half bad, in fact, it looks pretty incredible. It is based off of the hit game, and is scheduled to come out in Summer 2010. Dastan goes on a search to recover the Sands of Time.
Summary: Reminds me of Independence day. From the trailer, it seems the budget must be incredible! I mean, they blow up everything! And I do mean everything! Basically this is a movie about the Mayan prediction of the apocalypse occurring in 2012. Probably will contain very little plot, but lots of action. Still, a definite must see movie. Due for theatrical release in 2010.
Summary: This is a historical drama about the end of the Han Dynasty. John Woo worked on it, so you know the action scenes are going to be top notch...However, i was never one for history, so I think I'll pass...Anyways, this comes out later this month.
Summary: This is a remake of Wolfman. However, it has some iconic cast members like Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal series). Basically a well done werewolf movie. Visually the transformation looks awesome. Who knows, maybe it will win an award.
Summary: Basically a political movie for those out there who like lawyer/thinking films. Trial of a yugoslavian crime boss. Not exactly my cup of tea.
Summary: Sherlock Holmes meets the suppernatural. At least, thats what I got the impression of. Looks like plenty of great action scenes! And Robert Downey Jr is a Sexy Beast. This comes out Christmas day, so it gives me something fun to do.
Summary: another one? really? seriously?
Summary: Finally found the trailer after a ton of searching. This is set for release 2010. Although it looks awesome, I don't think it will be as witty as the first movie.
Summary: Supposedly another Marvel action movie.
Summary: Steven Spielberg attempted to produce JPIV, but after the death of Michael Crichton, is unsure. The draft has already been written, but it is unsure as to whether the movie will be completed. So sad...I love dinosaurs. *cries* Well, we'll just have to wait and see.
Summary: Does this need an explanation. It is the first part of the finale! Harry vs Voldemort showdown. This is either 2009 or 2010

Hmmm...I'm searching and I can't seem to find anymore...If you know of a GOOD movie (preferably action movie) pm me.
And while I was perusing Youtube, I managed to find this little jewel: Assassin's Creed short movie: Click Here
Anyways, in my opinion I'd watch: Sherlock Holms, 2012, Prince of Persia, Wolfman, Harry Potter, and if they ever end up making it...Jurassic Park IV!

PoP and 2012 are gunna be mince. Disaster movies are always mince. And giving the Prince a name is a disaster.

I do not really care for any of those movies. But out of fanboy obligation I will go to see Spider-man and Harry Potter, while out of optimism I will see Iron Man 2 and Sherlock Holmes.

Sherlock Holmes might be okay, I guess. I started reading the books over the summer (fantastic) but if they're going a whole new direction I'll lose interest.
Don't give a shit about SM or HP. Jurassic Park should've been left in its coffin after II. Don't care about the Han Dynasty. Storm sounds okay. Wolfman seems.. interesting. Weird how you have to establish who ANTHONY HOPKINS is. Only one of the last classical actors still kicking ass, man. Looking forward to fucking Alice in Wonderland and Clash of the Titans though. (Thanks RRRRRRR) (Clash of the Titans original is awesome.) PS. Airyie, Sherlock Holmes has been linked in with the supernatural before. I don't think that's what the movie is going to be about. But being surprised by that is weird. Hound of the Baskervilles was supposed to be about a dog sent from SATAN. I mean it wasn't, but what made it interesting was a human detective combating SATAN. So they're probably going for a similar thing if they do something like that again with the Robert Downey Jnr one. |

What's the bet Spider-Man 4 will open with a song and dance number?
None of those movies excite me at all. Alice in Wonderland looks like it'll be awesome though. |

Robert Downey Jr's alright I guess, but promise me a movie with a half-naked Hugh Jackman and we have a winner.

Van Helsing was pretty awful as well though. Also he's half naked in like every X-Men movie. And there's only two good X-Men movies.

9 isn't all that tbh. Great visuals, but the story itself seemed quite rushed.
As for the blog itself, i'm interested to see how the Thor movie pans out. I've always liked Thor so hopefully Hollywood does it justice. |
