I always set my status to Away, most of the people I talk with regularly (all 6 of them) know to IM me anyway. Should be a rule #9. It's the Internet, nothing is to be taken personally.

Raz. I put my status to "Busy" when I'm busy. When I'm available you are not online or are blocked. So yeah.
