Rain

I really like it.
Okay
Aesthetics
I guess there's a bunch that comes under this category: there's the straight down stuff that looks like the Matrix (and you know, I don't even see the code anymore; all I see is blonde, brunette, redhead), and the stuff that is almost completely horizontal because it looks like giant waves in the sky, coursing along next to clouds, and there's the stuff you can hardly see, which always surprises you when you look at a puddle and see the rippling...
And, and, and, and there's the times when you're just walking about on a perfectly not-rainy day when you feel a wee pitter-patter, and look up and you see it all rushing towards you. Exhilarating.
Sounds
I already mentioned the pitter-patter, but that's really nothing in comparison with the heavy stuff. The heavy stuff sounds like every great beat, all mashed and forced together, in a mesh of sound; and since they're all a different distance away (even if the differences are tiny) and because they're never really hitting the same surface twice they all have a slightly different sound, it's immense.
And the sound of rain on water is fantastic.
Feeling
Getting hit by rain is just like... you know how those people who are like 'OHMYGODZ I HAVE TO HURT MYSELF TO FEEL ALIVE', it's like a less retarded, less nonsensical version of that. It's like a stimulation.
Meaning...
Well, I guess, you could read a bunch into rain, even if you don't have to believe it DOES have any meaning. And I don't really believe it has a meaning, other than natural weather cycles, but this story is fantastic:
My friend was at a wedding, I think, and when they got out of the reception it was raining really really heavily and everyone was all make-up'd up, and when the rain came down she noticed that the people who had the nicest, detailed, best make-up were the ugliest and the opposite was true for the people with the worst.
I mean, you are thinking, WELL SKIRR THAT IS ONE OBVIOUS CONCLUSION, WHO NEEDS THE RAIN, right? I mean, yeah, I could've guessed (though make-up is not high on my thoughts), but the meaning one could read into it is that rain sorta strips away everything that is fake about a person, or a place, or a thing or anything. Just shows it for what it is. I'm a big fan of that.
Man I sound drunk.

Skirr? Have you gone demented? You probably have, for the same can be said for me. I especially love being in a large open area(something like a schoolyard) and hearing the pounding of rain on cement. Especially when it's mixed with some strong winds.

I don't think you've gone demented...just that you need to learn how to move your words around so that we get the emotion in them. You know, learn some poetry. Or something.
...Yay rain? |

@Puppy Chow
http://forums.bleachexile.com/showpo...61&postcount=5 What you mean like that? Not really trying to be emotional, don't be retarded. If someone mimics something like 'OHMYGODZ I HAVE TO HURT MYSELF TO FEEL ALIVE' They are obviously not in a serious mood. |

skirr is more of the type to analyze and pick apart something.
I just don't see him doing poetry. |

@Seiftis: not a big fan of the sun, really. Unless it's like... summer showers. 'Cuz then you're getting cooled down by... the rain! |

I prefer the absolute absence of weather, like no wind, no sunlight and no sounds/distractions. Rain is so British..Feh.

Britain is stuck in between two huge weather formations (the correct word has escaped me) and is subject to arbitrary hotness, coldness, wetness and iciness. So yes, very British.
Also very fantastic. |

I love the rain also especially when I am warm and cozy in front of my space heater.

Yeah but monogamy usually connotates with relationships and number of partners.
So unless you're fucking the sun it doesn't apply, I'd say. |
