part.3 how i got into manga/anime.
i'd say i was about in the 13-14 age range when i 1st encountered an anime.
it was dragon ball z,back then there were 2 people in my neighborhood who knew about and had manga/anime.
and 1 was a dbz fan,no one even those 2 had very much anime/manga,and i experienced the whole story of dragon ball basically by word of mouth.
dragon ball was spoken of in hushed tones of reverence,there was maybe 4 vhs tapes of dbz that circulated amongest us,and the one manga fan with a laptop[internet back then was kinda new] would tell us the rest of the story.
not to much later pokemon hit,and everyone had pokemon cards,the we graduated to yugioh cards,then a magical thing happened laptop guy got a subscription to a magazine called shonen jump.
but that was when i stopped reading comics,and i didnt till about 2007-08.
i got back into comics/manga,and the 1st anime i saw was eureka 7,im not into mecha but i liked that anime.
from there i went to inuyasha,and and that mangaka's works[ranma ½,maison ikkoku,lum,rinne] then bleach,naruto etc.
now i do a new manga monday,where i read the 1st chapter of a new manga.
the newest ones that i like are,fairytail,and d.gray-man.
i hope to read thru onepiece,and maybe air gear next.

I hope you dont mind me saying how I got into anime in your blog ....
I used to watch Pokemon and Digimon when i was 8 or 9 .... then I watched animes like detective conan , Yu gi oh , Inuyasha , ranma 1/2 , naruto , one piece in a german channel , RTL2 - My pokito , (I was working on my greman) ..... I was about 14 I guess ..... from 2 years ago I have been watching Naruto on this channel ........ last summer ( by mistake ) I downloaded Code gease and mobile suit gundam 00 S2 ......that was how I figured out about anime ( I always thought what I was watching are cartoons )..... then I watched Naruto , vampire knight and a few other animes .....from fall I watched animes like Guilty crown , Mirai Nikki , natsume, kimi to boku and ........ it is exactly a year from the day I found out about anime ....... |
