Ads and Avoidance.

We get bombarded by ads everyday. Every corner of the net, TV , movies and billboards.
Most of the time we try to ignore them
change the channel , switch windows on your screen. Blocking systems. Look away.
I stopped watching TV like around the time the show FRIENDS ended. Reality shows started. And tampon and feminine hygiene ADs blew up my dinner time TV sessions. So down the road I switched to waiting and RENTING SEASONS. No commercials. No waiting till next week. Far more enjoyable.
Then I was naive enough to think I could escape to the net. LOL I was bamboozled.
Pop up ads. Then the Video sites started playing ads.
Even with music. I USED to enjoy letting a playlist run on Youtube.. now they have an unescapable AD on every other fucking video.
Usually just skip ads. after a few seconds or switch screens.
So then after that the video download sites and censorship of videos take away from just some simple entertainment.
Damned everywhere I go. But in the end Most shit aint worth paying for and I don't want to be bombarded with redundant ads that usually dont relate to ANYTHING I care about or need.

Yea well even if you get past all the ads. I left the TV when they had all the reality shows starting.. reality shows HA! About as real of scenarios/unscripted as pro wresting.
But even now besides a few particulars when surfing. I just find 5000 channels of nothing. or a "whole lotta nuthin'" |

Anime made it easy for me to leave TV alone.
I am a sci fi and comic fan anyways. But anime did what no cartoon ever did like swear cleavage and so on. Digging out quality took a while. Still a lot of shitty anime out there. Last season I could only really enjoy 3. This season 2. But keeping up with 4 this season to see if any appeal |

@ shiva
the reason why so many channels have nothing on is because they're all too busy re-running each others shit to bother with any original programming. especially the newer the ones. there's a channel called destination america that only airs old reruns from discovery, travel, and history channels. g4 airs a lot too from whoever originally aired cops and cheaters. there's more, but they don't all come to mind atm. |
