Anyway the cable guys didn't come, which means Dad takes another whack at the box he whipped up. No promises either way as to what might happen but I don't want it to resort to texts... worst case scenario we'll know what we're doing by the end of tomorrow so if we don't have the cable guys coming we'll just buy a new router thinger.

Dad rigged up a (questionably legal) temporary net fix. Our tree fell on our 'net cords so it's screwy at best. Cable guys are coming tomorrow.

So apparently it's a bitch to book flights this far in advance, BUT I did find a sweet round trip line that's directly from NY to Chch! So this is very, very good news. More time and money will make it a definite, but it's happeninggg.
