Anyone read, "The road to reality" yet? I hated God Delusion. I mean, it did not satisfy me in anyway. I started reading the Road to Reality and although it is 1000+ pages long the prologue will instantly entangle you that you will just start hammering pages down by the minute and never realize you hit page 500 in just 3 hours. A truly amazing book in my opinion. It explains everything and gives some great insight into the system of beliefs that the early peoples of this Earth had. You can read the synopsis online somewhere, I would try B&N.

As for the ongoing discussion... Questioning someones beliefs should not be a crime but only if that questioning leads to harassment. If someone kindly tells you they would rather not explain to you their beliefs, then you should just walk away.

Not good, not good at all...

I'd been a boarderline atheist for several years. I read the God Delusion, which was really good, and that moved me even further down the line, but after I've read Sam Harris's books I pretty much solidified my atheism entirely...

Best analogy for me is I was just off the fence on the atheist side of agnosticism, but after reading God Delusion I'm now about 3/4 the way across the garden.

Dawkins is very good. You should read Sam Harris's books An End to Faith and Letter to a Christian Nation...

I decided to join because I was an agnostic just out of sheer disbelief of the nonsensical bullshit, but then I read the God Delusion by Richard Dawkins and I think it has brought me round to atheism. Very good reasoning.
