And whoa, I am writing novels like fats today, but without the crazyness.

Gear customisation was something I liked, made your character and the team members feel and look unique, also something like the mako but less retarded at controlling and interesting planets to explore with it this time. I miss the leveling system, it was far deeper and you could feel the effects of upgrading stats at higher levels. I am sure the story will be fine and the gameplay should be solid, add the RPG elements back again and I am sold.

Admittedly, the 1st had a few bad points besides the bugs, for example the elevator moments which lasted a lifetime and the 1st Normandy felt slightly annoying for my liking plus the texture loading was a bit odd.
