I played the first 2 on the NES, first one was rather unforgiving at the time but the 2nd one was probably more fun imo, especially 2 player mode.

Just to add, the game is in by no way perfect, the gameplay is imo not as satisfying as it is in bioshock(some might even say can be mediocre at times) and while hard is the difficulty to play on...
