Tough to call, there is still plenty to come out this year but I have 4 picks that might do it:

The Witcher 2 - will keep the traditional style of RPG and seems to improve on the flaws that the 1st game had, its brutal, beautifull looking and its not scared to pass some boundaries this time.

Batman Arkham City - If its anything like the 1st this will be an instant hit, seems that it will be a longer game and with a variety of characters invloved, for me it might be the front runner for GOTY.

Guild Wars 2 - if it comes out this year, IF, this will finally be an mmo that does things differently, it looks good, the classes and their abilities look promising and its totally event based, will not do the classic questing, if ArenaNet gets this right then holy crap this will be a beast of game.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim - I will admit, Oblivion was not the best from the series imo, not a bad game by any means, but it lacked the grand spectacle of Morrowind, but Skyrim might actually bring that spectacle back and with the community it has on the PC its length as a game will extend to years of playing.

Hard for me to choose, will deffo have an opinion once I get to play them all.

Yeah, we are way too early in the year to say.

My big issue with Elder Scrolls game isn't even the game itself, but the ridiculous overhyping that Bethesda always gives their games. They announced Skyrim a whole damn year before releasing it. Now they'll keep teasing their fans until their cocks fall off with excitement, and once Skyrim does get released in November (Assuming it doesn't get delayed anyway), everyone will be disappointed. This isn't because the game is bad, but because it isn't as "OMGWTFBBQHOLYSHIT" epic as they end up hyping it to be.

Sure, Bethesda isn't the one hyping it to that degree, and in a way it isn't their fault, but thats what happened to Oblivion and they still announced a year in advance again.

Arkham City is a shoe-in for game of the year, but I'm not sure it'll get it. My actual bet rests on Mass Effect 3. My hopeful winner is The Last Guardian.

Way to early to tell, but I´m betting on Uncharted 3. Seeing how amazing the other 2 were and the amount of positive reviews those had, I´m positive the next one will own as well.
