That conversation only says that Setsuna will turn into a pussy after the fight is over with, which is fine. As long as Setsuna doesn't turn into one before the fight is finish, I am cool with him wanting to put down his weapon and not fighting just to fight. As for the Masurao, the trans-arm is overpowered for a false drive, but think about it from the director point of view. Do you want Setsuna to just own everyone in the first 30 seconds of a fight everytime he goes trans-arm or you want a fight that could be a little more even? Even through it is retarded for Masurao trans-arm to keep up with 00-Raiser trans-arm, I understand why the director chose to do so.

On a side note, Graham's trans-arm is eventually going to kill him due to the lack of g force technology and the nasty side effects of overexposure to false GN particles.

exactly...i'm not bitching cuz i dont think its necessary, no they need SOMETHING to hang with the 00-raiser or its anti-climactic.

i'm saying theres are plenty of LEGIT ways to do it. give masurao 3 drives and trans am...bam problem solved.

and the ultiimate solution is what metas talking about....don't give ur suit superpowers if u can't write in a reasonable counter. from a writing perspective: don't make superman if u don't know how to make kryptonite.

What I don't get is why the Innovators allowed Hercules to do this. I'm disappointed that Marie didn't get to sortie in the GN Archer but it looks like she'll get some action in the next episode.

they let it happen cuz it works out better for them this way. like i said they'll use it as an excuse to increase their presence...like kim said they may take over all of the regular army after this.

it works tremendously in their benefit...why the hell would they stop it

Totally agreed.
Pretty good buildup, though I kinda feel sorry for Hercules being turned into A-LAWS's patsy. Preview of course shows Marie/Soma in a flightsuit, but also Saji in a white one, so apparently he'll be piloting 0-Raiser again. Nice to get some background on Sergei/Andrei, and of course the predictably brief 00-Raiser/Masurao bout.
Looking forward to next ep, that's for sure.

As to the second Memento Mori, I'm not the least bit surprised at there being two, as I'd expect there to be a total of three: One above each Orbital Elevator. Since the OEs are in geo-synch orbit, having one MM cannon at each point would place practically eevery point on Earth except the poles within striking reach - a decision that is tactically sound for the kind of regime we've seen the Federation is - a totalitarian regime based on information manipulation and brutal repression and elimination of all hostile elements.

I have to agree with Cracker and Meta about Masarao's false Trans-am being overpowered. I was extremely disappointed that Setsuna didn't oneshot Graham, however I watched the episode again and noticed something different about the Trans-am on 00-Raiser. The other times when Setsuna used Trans-am, the drives released two large circles of particles that enveloped a certain area of the battlefield, whether it was a large area like the first time it was activated or a compact area when he was fighting Ali. This time, there wasn't one. So, this is directed to our resident expert Cracker, is it possible that Setsuna could have not been using 100% of the particles available in Trans-am? Yes I know how Trans-am works by releasing all the particles stored, but theoretically since the 00-Raiser still has hidden abilities that Setsuna didn't fully utilize Trans-am against Graham. If that's the case then maybe Masarao's false Trans-am just looked overpowered when it truly isn't.

he only left the two large circles the first time he did it. the only thing that seemed out of the ordinary to me was the lack of gn particle saturation of the area.

as far as we know there is no half-ass trans am, its an all or nothing thing to our current understanding. so unless they pull something out of their ass it was just stupid.
